  Working with CRD was truly exceptional – they completely exceeded our expectations in designing and building the addition we’d always dreamed of. It was a huge undertaking, essentially doubling our home from a small two-bedroom house to a spacious two-story five-bedroom home. We initially engaged them in early 2018 with a general idea, and they were fantastic at helping us refine that and really maximize the space. The design process took about a year, with lots of back-and-forth, but by the time construction started in June 2019, we had nearly everything – materials, tiles, fixtures – pre-selected. They provided incredible resources like 3D models, detailed blueprints, and even a comprehensive gantt chart outlining every detail. Honestly, we were a little skeptical when they estimated a five-month build time starting in June, but to our amazement, they finished in November! We were expecting a longer timeline, especially since we were planning to live in the house during construction. Of course, it wasn't without its challenges. We discovered a significant foundation issue – the front of the house was lower than the back due to an old chimney – and there were a couple of unexpected rain issues. And the demolition company they’d been using abruptly shut down. But through it all, CRD handled everything with professionalism and a commitment to making sure we were happy. Our lead carpenter, Darryl, was particularly dedicated, often coming up with even better solutions than we’d considered. The project ended up being more expensive than we’d anticipated, largely due to a number of change orders and the complexities of working with our older 1930s home. They were always transparent about these extra costs and gave us options. We had weekly meetings in our home to stay informed, and we really appreciated how respectful the entire crew was, especially living in the house during the build. Despite the added expense, we absolutely love our new space and wouldn't trade it for anything. We know it was a significant investment, and we plan on enjoying this home for many years to come, so we’re already planning on using CRD for any future renovations. report abuse

  Honestly, we couldn’t be happier with CRD. They handled our entire house remodel – everything from digging down to do a basement renovation – and completely transformed our home into the dream we’d always envisioned. The design process was really enjoyable, and Josh, the lead carpenter, was fantastic, making the whole construction process smooth and easy. Despite it being a huge project, there were a few minor issues that popped up, but CRD took care of everything promptly and without any extra cost to us, and they kept the project on schedule.   Honestly, we were blown away with the work the CRD Design-Build team did for us. They completely transformed our 1950s kitchen and finished off a section of our basement, creating a fantastic new living space with a beautiful bathroom and laundry room. From the very beginning, Denny was a huge help – he quickly understood our vision and offered ideas that we hadn’t even considered. The whole design process was really enjoyable and collaborative, and Leslie did an amazing job of interpreting our style and building on it to create something that perfectly fit our home. We especially appreciated the detailed timeline and how consistently they kept us informed. Matt, our lead carpenter, was fantastic too; he was so conscientious and genuinely cared about getting everything exactly right. It was clear he was passionate about the project and wanted us to be thrilled with the final result.   “We’ve been dealing with a leaky concrete garage roof for about seven years now, and it’s caused a lot of problems – spalling concrete and standing water in the garage, especially during the colder months. We’d had so many contractors come and go, most of whom either offered false promises or simply weren’t willing to tackle the real issue. Then CRD came along and truly saved the day. I really connected with the team, and they were fantastic at listening to all my concerns – I had a lot of them! They either reassured me or quickly addressed them, even when it was just a minor detail. What really stood out was how responsive they were and how they kept me in the loop, letting me know immediately if anything might change the schedule. I always felt like a valued part of the process. A few months after the work was completed, we discovered a new leak, but the CRD team helped me get in touch with an expert who quickly identified it as a condensation problem that eventually resolved itself. They truly went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. I especially want to thank Matt Scully for his personal dedication to this project; he really stood by his word and made sure I was happy every step of the way, even checking in after it was finished.   Honestly, CRD was just incredible from start to finish. It’s hard to even know where to begin with this review! They were so patient and helpful from our very first meeting, always answering our questions and guiding us through every design choice. The 3D model on our iPad was a game-changer – it really allowed us to visualize the final product. And the temporary kitchen they set up in our basement was such a thoughtful touch. The construction team were consistently professional, with weekly updates that kept us completely informed. Now that we’re actually living in the space, we’re blown away by the quality of their work and the brilliant design recommendations.
