  Working with So Cal Builders, and especially Gal, was an absolute pleasure. Gal was our project manager and was fantastic – he really helped us design the remodel and offered some brilliant suggestions for the tile, flooring, and fixtures, which was especially helpful given the limited space in our bathroom. Gal’s expertise and understanding of the space really maximized it, and he was incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns we had. He even arranged for a new sewer system to be installed so we could connect our trailer during the renovation, which was a huge help. His team – the tile guy, electrician, and plumber – were all fantastic: hard-working, timely, and did a really great job. There were a few little bumps along the way with any remodel, but Gal always took ownership and made sure everything was fixed perfectly. We're absolutely thrilled with our new bathroom and constantly comment on how beautiful it is – thank you so much to Gal and So Cal Builders for everything! report abuse

  This was, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve had with a contractor. The bathroom renovation was a complete disaster – the plumbing leaked behind the wall, the tiles were cracked and uneven, and the paint job was awful. To add insult to injury, they attempted to offer me $2,000 to essentially void my warranty and ask me to sign an agreement preventing me from sharing my concerns online. I appreciate the gesture, but I felt compelled to warn others about this situation, which is why I've provided the full document and the text message detailing the warranty removal. I’d never experienced a cracked tile in my 18 years of homeownership, and the crooked doorway and shower bench were completely unacceptable. It’s frustrating that the inspections didn’t catch these issues, and it’s concerning that their repeated attempts to fix the problems actually made things worse. They couldn't even properly repair a single tile, and, crucially, no independent third party ever assessed the foundation. report abuse

  “Gal and Roy did a fantastic job during our initial consultation for the mother-in-law suite. They were both incredibly professional, punctual, and really easy to talk to. Gal, in particular, was a wealth of knowledge – he had some brilliant ideas for maximizing the space while keeping an eye on our budget, and he was very upfront about what wasn’t essential, which was really appreciated. He really helped us see the potential of the project and laid out a clear plan with a realistic cost estimate.   So Cal Builders really knocked it out of the park with our home renovation. Gal and his team put together a fantastic plan that was both realistic and affordable, and they handled all the tricky permitting issues with ease. I was particularly impressed with the skill and professionalism of his crew – they were incredibly efficient and precise, especially with the framing and roofing, and the quality of their work on the flooring, tile, and exterior details was outstanding. report abuse
