  Overall, we were really pleased with Solid State Construction. They tackled a significant project – replacing our siding, trim, roof, and windows – and managed to complete it during the challenging timeframe of Covid, which we thought was pretty impressive. The quality of work from all the subcontractors was excellent, and the team at the main office were always approachable and responsive. We appreciated the transparency of the costs, which remained reasonable and close to our initial estimates. They specifically worked with James Hardy products, and the crews demonstrated a strong understanding and experience with those materials. We’re extremely happy with the final result and have complete confidence in the longevity of their work. We wholeheartedly recommend Solid State Construction for any renovation project. report abuse

  Overall, I was incredibly pleased with Solid State. They completely replaced my 17 double-hung windows and two casement sliders, and I felt I got fantastic value for the money. From the start, their sales approach was patient and not pushy, and the communication and project management were consistently excellent. The installation crew was professional, efficient, and did a truly outstanding job – the workmanship was top-notch. I received great follow-up from management as well.   Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with Solid State. They completely transformed my house – replacing my siding and repairing my porch – and the results are absolutely stunning. From the incredibly detailed framing around the windows and doors to the overall finished look, it’s a huge improvement. Brandon King was fantastic; he really oversaw the crew and they were consistently professional, working early every day and diligently getting the job done quickly. They were incredibly careful with the final touches, making sure everything was perfect. It was a challenging time with unpredictable weather – snow, wind, and rain – but Brandon kept me fully informed about when they could work and when it wasn’t safe. They even worked weekends and late into the day to keep things on track. I had a pretty messy porch situation from a previous handyman, and to my surprise, the office worked with me to address it at the same time. There were a few changes along the way, but they were always accommodating. They really took the time to blend the new work with the age of my nearly 100-year-old house, skillfully masking any imperfections. It was a really collaborative process, with regular communication and a fantastic team – from Brandon to Lisa Wyn in the office, everyone was so professional and focused on customer service. I was particularly impressed with the electrician and gutter people too. My neighbors were constantly commenting on how beautiful the work looked! I went through several quotes before choosing Solid State and the James Hardie product, and while it was a bit pricier than some options, the 30-year guarantee and the superior materials gave me peace of mind. I’m so thrilled with the cedar plank siding and the added shingle details – it’s exactly the look I was hoping for.   Overall, we were really pleased with Solid State Construction and their work on our project. From the beginning, our salesman was fantastic – he took the time to clearly explain the costs, helped us think through our investment, and even suggested extras we hadn’t considered. The installation itself was exceptional; they did a truly impressive job, handling some tricky areas of our house with care and even proactively pointed out areas where we could make some improvements. They were incredibly thorough, cleaning up perfectly after themselves each day. We especially appreciated how responsive and communicative the project manager was, always available to answer our questions and walk us through different options. However, we did have a couple of hiccups. The initial electrician was a little rough around the edges, but he eventually got the job done well after a second visit. And we were a little frustrated when the gutter company arrived unannounced, but thankfully they were able to adapt quickly and do a great job once we explained our concerns – especially after a few heavy rains! Despite those minor issues, the project finished four weeks later and we’re incredibly happy with the final result and the professionalism of Solid State Construction. report abuse

The team, led by Fabiano, were fantastic – they were incredibly careful with our property and did a fantastic job with both the daily work and the final cleanup. Jeff, the owner, was incredibly honest and gave me a fair estimate, and the work itself was done promptly and to a really high standard. Joe and his team were fantastic too, keeping me fully informed of any changes or issues before proceeding.   Overall, we had a fantastic experience with Solid State Construction. We first noticed a leak in our roof in late November and, after researching our options, chose them. From the start, Heidi, our sales representative, was incredibly helpful – she was so knowledgeable and patiently answered all of our questions, even the ones we hadn’t even thought to ask! The crew was fantastic too; they arrived on time, worked diligently, and despite the really harsh weather we were having, they managed to finish the job a day later than initially anticipated. It was amazing to see them working in 9-degree temperatures! Rob, the site manager, was always in touch, keeping us updated and addressing any concerns we had. We really appreciated their professionalism and how tidy they were – they left the property spotless. We absolutely love our new roof and wouldn’t hesitate to use Solid State Construction again for any future construction projects. report abuse

  Solid State Construction did an absolutely fantastic job renovating our Victorian home! Because it’s in a historic district, they really went above and beyond, navigating all the approvals and dealing with some unexpected weather delays.
