“I had a really positive experience working with Shrewsbury Lumber. Rick was fantastic – incredibly helpful and responsive, especially when I needed materials quickly. They had exactly what I needed and delivered everything on time. I’d definitely recommend them, and I even found their pricing for drywall to be competitive.”

I rarely write negative reviews, but I want to warn others about my experience at this lumber company. I had to return an item and they charged me a shocking 20% restocking fee – essentially $200 on a $1000 purchase. Honestly, that’s completely unreasonable, especially when you’re buying that much lumber. The owner seemed particularly dismissive when I raised the issue. To be frank, the service was far worse than I’ve received at other lumber yards. I strongly recommend shopping around for prices and comparing them before buying here – the big box stores offer better prices and service. It’s really important to carefully check your final bill against the initial quote, as they seem to add extra charges without clearly explaining them.

“I recently used Azek and Shrewsbury Lumber for a project, and I was really impressed with the whole experience. As a small business owner, I don’t have a contractor’s time or resources, but Chad and the team at Shrewsbury Lumber went above and beyond to help me out. They were incredibly friendly and easy to work with, and their prices were very competitive – just a few cents higher than the big hardware stores. But the biggest thing was their shipping; it was unbelievably affordable, which meant they delivered the supplies right to my location. I’d definitely recommend Shrewsbury Lumber – it’s worth checking out before you go to the larger chains.”

Rick did a fantastic job helping us choose the Azek decking material and getting it delivered so quickly and smoothly. The whole team was really knowledgeable and helpful – we really appreciated their efforts!

“I recently tried to purchase lumber from Shrewsbury Lumber, and unfortunately, had a really terrible experience. The person at the front desk was incredibly unhelpful and unprofessional. As a local resident, I’m extremely disappointed and won’t be returning. Honestly, I’d drive to Grafton to Koopman’s instead – it’s worth the trip.”
-
“This was a really frustrating experience. The staff seemed completely disinterested and slow, making me feel like I was bothering them while they took forever to process my order. I had to repeat it three times, and it was clear the employee wasn't fully engaged. Honestly, it felt like a complete waste of time, and I ended up going to Home Depot for a much better service.”
-
Shrewsbury Lumber was fantastic – Rick was a pleasure to work with, and the whole process of ordering the baseboard trim and casing was quick and efficient. I’d definitely recommend them.
-
Cedar did a really good job helping us out with our raised garden bed – they were a bit tricky to locate, but they quickly offered a really reasonable alternative solution.
-
Justin provided fantastic, personalized service and the products were really top-notch.
-
Rick was fantastic – he really went the extra mile to get my Siberian wood to me on time. I’d definitely recommend him!
