I recently bought seven 2x6x12 treated lumber pieces from the TW Perry location in Chevy Chase, and I was charged $17.50 for having them cross-cut. However, the yard crew only made three cuts total on the lumber. When I spoke to the office about the charge, they explained that the number of pieces ordered determined the cuts, not the actual number of times the saw was used. It was a bit confusing, and frankly, I wish the salesperson had explained this upfront – I would have likely purchased my lumber elsewhere. Hopefully, future customers will be aware of this way of calculating cuts.

It’s a really convenient place to shop, and they have a good selection. Just be aware that the prices on everyday hardware items are a little on the higher side – but they’re fantastic when it comes to specialty items.

-
It’s a really nice selection, considering the space available and it’s only a half-mile walk – pretty convenient!
-
“Honestly, I’ve been really frustrated with the customer service. It’s incredibly difficult to actually get someone to answer the phone when I call.”
-
It’s clear that the texting and calling system needs some serious attention – it feels quite unprofessional and hasn’t been properly maintained.
-
Overall, it’s a solid place to get lumber – they seem to have what you need. The staff are also pretty helpful if you happen to have any questions.

“This is a fantastic place – a real gem! The staff were wonderful, and it’s a great lumber yard/hardware store overall.”
