Tom did a fantastic job guiding me through the permitting process for my project – it was a really complex one with a lot of scrutiny. He kept me well-informed and communicated clearly throughout, and he really worked hard to keep things moving along as quickly as possible. I’d definitely recommend him.

I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience working with CPJ Annapolis. I went to them based on a strong recommendation, but unfortunately, it was a truly frustrating and ultimately damaging process. Bill Bower was supposed to handle my waterfront renovation, and while he seemed promising initially, communication completely broke down. I waited weeks for responses to calls and emails, and just before I was ready to submit, we had to redo our grading plan because of a confusing issue with lot coverage. Then, after finally getting it submitted, I received no updates whatsoever – I had to contact the county directly to find out the permit had been approved weeks earlier, which delayed my patio project. Beyond the constant lack of communication, they shockingly overcharged me for the work, nearly doubling the agreed-upon fee and attempting to bill me for unrelated services. It felt like they were trying to profit from their own mistakes and poor service, and I had to report the entire situation to the Maryland Attorney General’s office and the Maryland Bar Association due to their unacceptable behavior.

Okay, based on just “Ta,” here’s a natural-sounding evaluation: “Ta” indicates a very brief, perhaps even cursory, engagement with the material. It suggests a lack of substantial understanding or feedback.
