  I’m incredibly frustrated and frankly, appalled by the way this road work was handled. They completely disregarded the residents on my street in Montgomery County – they blocked off our entire street with hot asphalt between 3 and 7 pm without any notification whatsoever. I was trying to get home and was completely caught off guard. There wasn't a single person to warn us, and nobody even informed us at 7 am that we were going to be trapped. My housemates had to cancel important plans because of the sudden disruption, and I was nearly hit by the roller while trying to turn around. As someone with serious health issues, including a risk of strokes, this was completely unacceptable. The lack of warning put my safety and my property at serious risk. It was a frightening and disrespectful experience, and I’m deeply disappointed by their conduct. report abuse

  Overall, the workers were really pleasant and respectful, which was great. However, we had a bit of a confusing experience regarding the pricing – we were given two different quotes for the initial work and the finishing touches, and the driveway extension wasn’t actually carried out as we’d discussed. It wasn’t until after they’d finished and left with our payment, and the protective barriers were removed, that we realized the driveway wasn't wider. Looking back, I wish I’d been there to make sure the extension was included before we paid. Moving forward, I’d definitely recommend getting everything, like the scope of work and the final price, in writing to avoid any misunderstandings. report abuse

  “I’m really concerned about the work M. Luis’s crew did on the road repaving project near me. Every day, the work sites were left incredibly messy with piles of debris and, more importantly, there were no signs warning drivers of the road closures. The closures themselves seemed random and were never announced in advance. When I raised my concerns about this, the person in charge didn’t seem to take them seriously and wouldn’t provide any documentation showing the work was permitted. It felt like a very haphazard and poorly organized operation that could have posed a serious risk to emergency vehicles and caused a huge disruption for local traffic, all without any prior warning.” report abuse

  “I’ve been incredibly disturbed by the ongoing activity in front of my home for the past four days. Starting four days ago, vehicles began staging there, and they’ve consistently woken me up as early as 5:30 am – sometimes with a large fuel truck or even a trailer – and once as early as 3:20 am. They’re also disturbing my neighbor. I’ve contacted the MD DOT daily, and while they’ve reported the issue to the contractor, nothing has changed. All I ask for is the ability to sleep until 7:00 am. If this could be resolved for just a couple of weeks, I’d be happy to remove this review.” report abuse
