  “I was really pleased with A-1’s service. A recent storm caused some significant damage to my backyard fence, and after reading some positive reviews, I decided to get a quote. Matt was fantastic – he came out to inspect the damage the next day and suggested a stronger 4x6 post, which I agreed to right away. Melanie sent over a competitive estimate, and I really appreciated how quickly and thoroughly Matt and Melanie answered all my questions. The installation crew – Alvaro, Lazaro, and Hijinio – were also excellent. They arrived on time, were incredibly professional and friendly, and clearly knew what they were doing. They did a fantastic job and even cleaned up the whole area afterward.   “We finally got our termite-infested fence replaced, and we couldn’t be happier with A-1. We’d been putting it off for ages, but we’re kicking ourselves for waiting so long! We got several quotes, and A-1’s were competitive, especially considering their great reputation and the fact that they’re a long-standing local company. They were really patient with us as we made our decision. The crew was fantastic – they worked quickly, were incredibly respectful, and finished the job in just 1.5 days, plus they cleaned up perfectly. The fence looks amazing. My only small suggestion is that they give you a heads-up a few days before needing a quote for the inspection, and then a general estimate of the final cost after you sign the contract. They gave us a pretty accurate timeframe – we signed in mid-December and they started work on February 15th, just as they predicted. Overall, it was totally worth the wait, and we’re so pleased with the results. Our neighbors are too – even one retired union carpenter was really impressed with their work, so we’d definitely recommend A-1 to anyone in the Bay Area.” report abuse
