  Stephen did an absolutely fantastic job transforming our front yard in Longmeadow last spring. We completely revamped the landscaping, while carefully preserving some of our existing shrubs and working around our deck. He was incredibly knowledgeable about choosing the right plants for each spot, even with some challenging areas we specified. Stephen really shone working with the other contractors involved, and the project looks incredible – just two months in! We threw in a few unexpected changes along the way, but he handled everything with such professionalism. His team was great, the project stayed on budget, and the new landscaping has significantly boosted the value of our home. report abuse

  “I wanted to share my experience with Stephen A Roberts Landscape – it was a really interesting project for my first time designing a landscape. I worked closely with Steve Roach, and he was fantastic at taking my initial ideas and turning them into a workable design. There were quite a few revisions, but Steve was patient and responsive throughout the process. Once the work started, things moved really quickly, and my backyard was completely transformed. We did have a slight delay with the pavers for the patio, which was due to high demand with the manufacturer, but the patio itself turned out absolutely beautiful – exactly as I envisioned it. The crew was also incredibly kind and helpful, and they expertly installed the pondless fountain I’d purchased. However, that delay did unfortunately affect the newly planted plants, and they admitted they hadn’t been properly irrigated. Some of the plants, including my hydrangea tree, didn’t thrive, and I was disappointed that the beds weren’t as densely planted as I’d hoped – I’d spent over $1000 on my own plants to really fill them in. Another challenge was assembling a pavilion kit I’d ordered for shade. While Steve initially assured us the crew could handle it, it proved to be a much larger undertaking than anticipated. Frank and the crew worked incredibly hard to get it done right, but it took far longer than expected, and I think it would have been better handled by a specialized construction team. Despite these hiccups, I was really pleased with the overall result, and I would definitely recommend Stephen A Roberts Landscape, particularly if you’re looking for a higher-quality project and have a generous budget.” report abuse

  Stephen and his team did an absolutely fantastic job transforming our pool area! We’d been getting quotes from several landscaping companies, and Stephen’s was by far the best – both in terms of price and accuracy. The crew was incredibly professional and got the job done efficiently. Stephen really went above and beyond, keeping us updated throughout the whole process and ensuring we were completely happy with the beautiful results.   Stephen missed our scheduled meeting, which was really frustrating, especially since I’d driven four hours to see him. I called at 11:20 when he hadn’t shown up, and it took him a while to realize who I was. When he finally arrived at 11:30, he just kind of brushed it off with a dismissive comment and then left without really engaging. It felt incredibly unprofessional and, honestly, a little strange. report abuse

  “On Saturday, June 27th, I witnessed a driver going east at approximately 90 mph. He wasn’t using a tarp and was throwing rocks out of his vehicle, which unfortunately caused a rock to hit my car – a 2020 model, just three months old. I heard the impact that day.” report abuse

  “We were incredibly impressed with the air conditioning pad and retaining wall they built in our backyard – truly a fantastic job! They were so thorough, and we’ve already asked them for a quote on some additional landscaping work. Plus, they left the entire area spotless, graded it perfectly, and even spread grass seed, which was a really nice touch.” report abuse

  “I’ve known Steve for a really long time – we go way back to high school, about 30 years ago. Back then, I saw his early landscape designs, and I was always struck by how dedicated he is; he just seems to get it right immediately.
