  Steve and his crew did a fantastic job last week – really professional and it was so easy to work with them. We agreed to a deposit of $2,675 upon their initial estimate, with a start date pushed back to September 7th. We made the difficult decision to cancel a trip to accommodate the delay. During the process, Junker suggested using stone edgers for support, which we had to order ourselves, and we paid $235 for the delivery. However, Junker never actually started the work. He completely disappeared – he didn’t show up, call, or text us at all, and this happened four times! We weren’t compensated for any of this inconvenience. Getting our money back was a nightmare; he’s notoriously unresponsive and his mailbox is always overflowing. We ended up having to pursue legal action, filing a complaint with the Sheriff and eventually going to small claims court, where there were multiple other cases against him. While he eventually paid us, we still lost money on court fees and the delivery charge for the stone edgers. Ultimately, we wasted the entire summer waiting for the project to begin, and we never got our steps repaired. I would strongly advise against using Junker & Sons; they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, and their lack of communication and responsiveness is unacceptable.” report abuse

  I was really impressed with Steve Junker & Sons – they did an absolutely fantastic job building my retaining wall. Despite the really hot and humid weather, they didn’t cut any corners and got the job done perfectly. It was clear they’re experienced professionals who know what they’re doing. I’d been getting quotes from a few different companies, and I definitely felt like Junker & Sons offered the best value for the quality of work. They were incredibly efficient, completing the project in just two days without any delays. I wholeheartedly recommend them! report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with this company. We hired them to build a paver patio and a decorative bench, but the whole experience was a disaster. They didn’t obtain the necessary permits, didn’t even check our property lines, and ultimately, the work is completely unusable. We’re now stuck with a $15,000 project that needs to be torn down and rebuilt, all at our own cost. To make matters worse, after Andy initially promised to “take care of it” back in July, he hasn't returned any calls or followed up. It's shocking that a company with such a long history would treat customers this poorly. I’m seriously considering legal action to try and recover our money, and I want to warn everyone I know about this company – avoid them at all costs. report abuse

  “We were really struggling with constant water problems in our unfinished basement – it was a nightmare whenever it rained! Junker and Sons were fantastic; they really understood the issue and offered a clear, practical solution that was also surprisingly affordable. They did a great job regrading around the house, extending our gutters, and fixing the window wells. What really stood out was how involved they were, explaining everything to us and getting our input along the way. The result was a huge improvement to our yard, and most importantly, we haven’t had any water issues in the basement since they finished – even with all the recent rain!” report abuse

  Steve was scheduled to do a small patio project for us, and he initially seemed reliable – he gave me a clear start date and asked me to get all the materials delivered. Unfortunately, he completely disappeared and hasn’t responded to any attempts to get in touch. It’s incredibly unprofessional and really disappointing. report abuse
