  I’m incredibly disappointed with this experience. My mother, who speaks English, contacted them for a free faucet repair estimate and was subsequently contacted via text. Despite repeatedly asking if the service would be free, they completely ignored her question and proceeded to schedule a visit. When the technician arrived, they charged my father – who doesn’t speak English – a $99 service fee without even assessing the problem. It’s appalling that they took advantage of the situation and didn’t inform either of them about the fee beforehand, especially given the communication was primarily through text. After my mother contacted them to complain, they simply passed the issue up to the boss and haven't returned her call. This feels like a blatant rip-off and I’m frankly disgusted by their conduct. report abuse

  Ricardo was fantastic – he really came through for me! He fixed my clogged toilet quickly and efficiently, and was so friendly and professional while he was here.   Justin was fantastic – he really went the extra mile for us. He arrived exactly when we needed him to clear the drain, and then he even took the time to thoroughly clean the bathroom afterward. He was so kind and helpful, and he even left us with a fresh bottle of drain cleaner and some great advice on how to avoid future clogs. We’d definitely recommend him! report abuse

But Roto responded incredibly quickly, sending someone out within just three hours and the plumber, Ronnie, fixed the problem within five minutes.   “I really wish I’d gone with a different plumbing company. Back in January, I called Roto Rooter because they were the first to respond to my burst pipe, but it turned into a huge problem. They quickly fixed the initial leak and did some demolition work in my kitchen and upstairs bathroom above it, though they never explained why they needed to tear up the upstairs bathroom. Unfortunately, during this demolition, they actually chipped the enamel on my tub. Now, it’s April and my bathroom is *still* a disaster zone. Roto Rooter isn’t even communicating with my insurance company about the unnecessary demolition, and I’ve had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau just to get answers. To top it all off, I was contacted today by someone from their collections team who had completely wrong information about my case. Honestly, after two and a half months of staying in hotels and Airbnbs while waiting for a resolution, I’m seriously questioning their initial assurances of professionalism. I strongly advise against using Roto Rooter – it’s been a truly awful experience.” report abuse
