“I’ve been increasingly disappointed with my experiences here. Almost every time I visit, I encounter problems – often with a poor attitude from the staff. More concerningly, I’ve consistently received lumber with significant damage, like rusted metal and wood with rot and deep pitting. This last time, they admitted the 2x6 had been sitting outside and then proceeded to sell it to me. It’s really frustrating to be given damaged materials and then get a dismissive explanation.”

I was really struggling to find a replacement metal plate for my Russo wood stove, and it turned out to be a bit of a hunt! The Seekonk wood stove store didn’t have any Russo parts, and I learned Russo Manufacturing no longer makes the stove. Desperate, I took a chance on Shawmut Metal, bringing in one of the plates. They quickly assessed it, measured, and promised to have a replacement ready in a couple of days. To my surprise, I got a phone call within just a couple of hours – they’d already finished it! It fit perfectly, and it’s working great! Huge thanks to Shawmut Metal for their fast service.
