I rented a child carrier backpack last summer, and they were really proactive in keeping me updated throughout the whole process – especially helpful given the low stock due to Covid.   I had an absolutely fantastic experience renting a one-person tent from them. It was perfect for my week-long trip, and the price of just $40 was incredible!   I had a really positive experience at this shop. The owner was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to really understand my hiking and backpacking needs – it’s clear he’s passionate about helping customers find the perfect gear. They also carry some fantastic brands like ULA and Ahnu, which you don’t always see. I’d definitely recommend checking them out if you’re looking for equipment for your next adventure. report abuse

  “I was really impressed with their customer service – they specifically held a map I was looking for until my arrival a few days later.   I just finished an incredible run from Tucson to Phoenix, and I wanted to express how grateful I am to Lower Gear.   I just wanted to say Dallas and Bryce were fantastic – I recently bought a Hobie PA12 from them and I’m absolutely thrilled with the whole experience. They were so knowledgeable about the boats and answered all my questions quickly and efficiently. I was originally considering the Outback, but seeing the PA12 in person really sealed the deal.   Overall, it was a really positive experience. The owners were fantastic – clearly passionate about fishing and happy to share their knowledge with a beginner like myself.   I had a fantastic experience renting from this company! Everyone I spoke with was incredibly helpful and patient – the person on the phone really took the time to answer all my questions. While they didn’t have the exact item I needed, they went above and beyond to find a great alternative.
