  Trimm Design Build completely transformed our backyard, and we couldn’t be happier with the results! From the very beginning, Friedrich was fantastic – incredibly knowledgeable, super organized, and always kept us in the loop. They tackled a huge project, including everything from prepping the land for grass and building those beautiful stone stairs, to creating a lovely pea gravel area with a firepit. They even creatively added a natural bridge and worked with the creek. What really stood out was their dedication to our satisfaction; they went above and beyond what was expected. They handled every little challenge with a quick and efficient solution. A special shoutout to Enil and the whole crew – they were all so hardworking, positive, and kept the site spotless every day, even in the intense summer heat. Friedrich's advice was even helpful with a separate issue we were having.   “I’ll admit, I’d been hesitant to use Trim Landscaping for a while – I just thought they were a bit out of my price range since I’ve retired. But after three years of being more mindful with my money, I finally decided to get a quote for a flower box. I was really impressed with the team – especially Tommy Trimm who came out to my house himself. He was so knowledgeable and offered some fantastic ideas on how to make the box look great. We agreed on a price and it felt really solid. It took a little longer than expected because they were busy, but when the crew finally arrived, they were professional and got right to work and had the project done in no time. I’ve been a regular customer ever since, buying topsoil and getting their advice on flowers.   “We were completely lost when it came to designing our garden – we just didn’t know what we wanted or what plants would work well together. We got quotes from several landscaping companies, and it was really frustrating because everyone else just asked us what *we* liked, as if that was the solution! Hamilton with Trimm was the only one who took a proactive approach, offering professional drawings and plant suggestions. Once we saw their drawings, we knew exactly what we wanted – it was exactly what we envisioned! We’d already signed with another company at that point, but Trimm’s drawings were a complete game-changer. Throughout the whole process, we were so impressed with the crew’s attention to detail; they cleaned up after themselves every day and we could always see the progress being made. It was fantastic! And to be honest, Trimm was the only contractor who stuck to his timeline – he finished the job by Thanksgiving, just as he promised. We had a huge Thanksgiving gathering with over 30 people, and everyone absolutely loved the beautiful garden!   Overall, my experience there was really disappointing. While the added patio space was a nice touch, it quickly became clear that there were significant issues with their landscaping. A lot of the plants they installed died, and despite their son addressing the problem and replacing them, they continued to fail. It felt incredibly disorganized – they had mismatched colors and no apparent system for keeping track of them. Getting someone to actually look at my concerns was a huge struggle, and frankly, I was just too exhausted after all the frustration to keep fighting it. report abuse

  “I’m incredibly disappointed with this whole experience. When the plants were initially installed, they looked fantastic, but things quickly went downhill. They never followed through with proper planting, and the plants died. To add to the frustration, they removed our fence without properly addressing the cleanup, claiming they’d bury it and return – six months later, they still haven’t done anything. They also didn’t level the yard or add topsoil as we’d requested when laying the sod, which has now sunk in places and created a really uneven and unattractive yard. It’s been impossible to get in touch with them, and I’m really unhappy with the final result.” report abuse

  “Last summer, my neighbor and I really appreciated the work Hamilton Trimm did for our shared yard space. They sent an evaluator out who assessed the area and then their team completely transformed it – it’s amazing what they did! They selected a fantastic variety of plants for both our yards, taking a huge weight off our shoulders when it came to choosing what to plant. We ended up with over 30 plants each, along with new pine straw and topsoil, and the price was incredibly reasonable. Seriously, their facility in Trussville is worth a visit to see the huge selection of plants they have. We were so impressed with the results, and to top it off, we didn’t lose a single plant through the winter – a testament to the care they put into preparing the ground.” report abuse

They tackled a large and two smaller projects, and we were really pleased with the quality of their work and design – especially how they addressed the drainage problem with a well-thought-out solution.
