Luke has been a fantastic resource for me, stepping in to help with a wide range of site services, from earthworks and site plans to things like native plant preservation and hydrology reports.   “I wanted to share a really positive experience we had working with Luke from Smith Construction and Excavation Services. We were building our dream home on our street, and when our main builder started the foundation work, we noticed something wasn’t quite right – they’d dug a much deeper hole than necessary. We brought it to their attention, but they insisted it was correct. Thankfully, Luke, who lives nearby and has his own construction business, saw our concern. He immediately recognized the potential problem and explained that if it wasn’t addressed, we’d face very costly drainage issues down the line. He suggested we get a professional survey to verify the elevation, and we thankfully found a skilled hydrologist who confirmed the foundation was two feet too low. Armed with this information, we were able to pressure our original builder to correct their mistake. It was a really stressful situation, but Luke's insight and knowledge were invaluable.
