It was fantastic to see the Jim Morrison mural here – as a long-time Doors fan from Australia, it really hit home and was a genuinely special thing to experience.

Overall, it was pretty much as expected. Just a heads-up though – if you’re visiting at night, be aware that there were a few people experiencing homelessness in the area, including one man sleeping right beneath the mural.

Overall, it was a really nice experience, though I was hoping for a bit more of a dramatic impact. It looked exactly as pictured, but the narrow alleyway made it tricky to fully appreciate its scale. The walk itself along the beach was lovely, and there were plenty of interesting little alleyways leading to it – just be aware of the viewing conditions!
