From the very beginning, Joe and his team kept us completely informed with weekly updates, so we always knew where things stood. Honestly, our old kitchen was a bit of a disaster – the cabinets were cheap and poorly designed, the appliances were outdated, and the whole space just felt drab. We desperately needed a fresh start! Joe and his team completely reimagined the space for us, bringing in a stunning modern look with beautiful glossy cabinetry, a sleek galley sink, and a gorgeous Porcelanosa backsplash. The new appliances, LED lighting, and even the brushed golden drawer handles really elevated the space. We’re so thrilled with the lighter pine floor – it’s a huge improvement.   Joe Bertola and his team – Victor, Wellington, and Marco – did an absolutely fantastic job renovating my kitchen. From the very beginning, demolition through permits and the construction itself, they were incredibly reliable, respectful of my home, and meticulous in their work. They always cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day, and it was clear they took great pride in their craft. What really stood out was their responsiveness; whenever any little hiccup arose – and there were a few – they were immediately on the scene with a quick and effective solution, even tackling an unexpected issue on a Saturday morning!   “I had Bertola Custom Homes renovate my condo, and while the quality of the work itself was decent, I found the communication a bit lacking. Honestly, the biggest issue was the pricing – it felt significantly overpriced for what they delivered. Joe is a really skilled salesman and knows how to present his services in a way that makes them seem incredibly valuable, but in my experience, the cost didn’t match the quality of the work. He pushed me towards much more expensive materials and labor than I actually needed. It’s been about seven years since the original renovation, and when I asked him for a quote for a small tiling job, his bid was shockingly high – ten times more expensive than any other contractor I got quotes from. If you’re not concerned about the cost, Joe can definitely get the job done, but there are plenty of other talented contractors out there who offer a much better value and a more straightforward approach.” report abuse
