    “I’ve been really disappointed with Protection-one’s service. They seem to avoid updating their equipment, and when something goes wrong, they’re rarely able to provide replacements. Instead of fixing the existing system, they almost always push for a brand-new one, which can cost over $1000. Even something as basic as replacing batteries is handled with an added “home service appointment” charge – it feels like they’re trying to upsell every single service.” report abuse

    I couldn’t be happier with Protection One. I’ve used their services for over a decade now, starting with my first home back in 2011 and then again for a second property. Seriously, the customer service – especially the folks I spoke with on the 800 number – are fantastic; they’re truly top-notch. The local team was great too. From start to finish, with the sales, the installation, and ongoing support, I’m completely satisfied.     I’m incredibly disappointed with the service we’ve received from this company. Frankly, it’s been a nightmare – a complete lack of quality service for over a year. Their video monitoring is consistently unreliable, and their customer service is shockingly poor. Every time I’ve contacted them, I’ve been passed around, sent the wrong technicians, and given false promises about getting the necessary parts. They’ve shown up to jobs without tools or replacements, and even after explaining the issue and requesting specific equipment, they’ve failed to deliver. It’s incredibly frustrating to repeatedly be told they’ll send replacements, only for them never to arrive. Adding to the problem is the consistently unhelpful customer service – their response rates are abysmal, and the phone lines are often unavailable. It’s clear they’ve grown too quickly without implementing proper quality control. As a result, I’m now exploring alternative providers for all five of our company offices, as I’ve simply wasted a year trying to get this resolved. He repeatedly corrected us, even when we were right, and seemed completely unfamiliar with ADT’s procedures. It was clear he didn’t understand his role as a third-party vendor, and he couldn’t even provide the contact information for his supervisor.     I’m incredibly disappointed with this company. Once you sign the contract, you’re essentially locked in with no easy way to cancel and they offer absolutely no support. Despite continuing to pay monthly fees, they completely ignore your needs. I attempted to switch providers and they aggressively defended the contract, making me feel like a captive customer. Honestly, this experience has been borderline a scam and I’m writing this review because it’s the first time I’ve ever had such a negative experience with a business. report abuse

    I’m incredibly disappointed with this company after being a customer for over 17 years. The last five months have been a nightmare, particularly with the billing issues. It’s completely unacceptable that they’re now demanding I pay two months’ worth of charges at a time – I’ve never encountered anything like it. To add to the frustration, I was on the phone for over an hour last month only to be disconnected.     “We’ve been incredibly disappointed with our experience so far with this company. From the start, things have been a complete mess. They provided a quote back in May, but didn’t schedule the installation until August, blaming a departing salesman – which felt like a huge delay. Once they finally arrived, they essentially redid our entire system, adding unexpected charges and only completing half of what was originally promised. To add to the frustration, our alarm and burglar systems have been going off repeatedly – at least six times in the last ten days – with no apparent cause. Dealing with customer service has been a nightmare; they always seem to want to upsell us with more equipment and more fees. It’s causing a huge problem with our local fire and police departments who are now threatening to charge us for each false alarm. Honestly, I’m seriously considering reporting them to the Attorney General – it’s shameful that ADT is associated with this level of service.” report abuse
