  Overall, Landis did an incredible job transforming our kitchen. The design and layout are fantastic – it looks completely modern and stylish, and honestly, it’s elevated the value of our home. We were so pleased with the result! We particularly want to commend Dana Kaminsky, our team leader; she was fantastic to work with – genuinely caring, professional, and brought a real passion to the project. Maurice Brown, the project manager, was also excellent, always responsive and making sure everything was done to Landis’s high standards.   “I wholeheartedly recommend Landis Design/Build – they were absolutely fantastic working with them on our home renovation. We hired them to completely renovate the second floor of our historic row house in Capitol Hill, and they handled everything brilliantly. They tackled the quirks of a 150-year-old building and kept the project perfectly on track and within budget. The design process was really enjoyable, and we were consistently updated with photos and detailed reports throughout the entire construction. It was particularly reassuring knowing they were managing the project so well, especially since my wife was expecting our first child around the time it was finished – timing was critical! To be honest, they navigated the challenges of starting construction during the pandemic with incredible skill and professionalism.   Overall, we were incredibly pleased with the renovation – it really transformed our home! The new kitchen and powder room look fantastic, and all the changes on the main floor flow together really well. We especially want to commend Fabricio for his work. He’s a truly skilled craftsman and he clearly cares about getting things right. He was always thinking ahead, anticipating potential issues, and he treated our house as if it were his own. Colleen, our designer, was fantastic too – she really listened to what we wanted and worked tirelessly to come up with great options and explain the pros and cons clearly. It’s worth noting that this was our first renovation, so it’s not a direct comparison to other projects. We were lucky to have only minor issues, which were dealt with quickly. If you’re planning a renovation, we’d suggest making sure your designer is a really good fit for you – and if you’re moving out during the work, build in plenty of extra time for temporary housing. report abuse

Joe Caw has been my project manager throughout those jobs, and he, along with Ethan, were always incredibly professional and focused on delivering top-quality work. I’ve used Landis for several projects, including work on my basement and some exterior improvements, and I consistently received fantastic value. Carlos Marin was particularly skilled and professional with his carpentry, and Ethan Landis really went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. They’re just a fantastic team; they truly listen to our ideas, are easy to communicate with, and respond quickly. It’s clear they’re passionate about creating beautiful work and take a lot of pride in their craftsmanship. Plus, they even have great coffee mugs!
