“I can’t recommend building with Westridge. Honestly, we wish we’d read this review before making our decision. From the very beginning, we experienced a shockingly unprofessional and frustrating series of issues. There were numerous oversights – they completely missed a structural pillar on our porch, forgot to install our water softener, and didn’t install ductwork in our daughter’s bedroom, leaving her without heating or cooling. When we finally got them to address it, they created further problems requiring extensive, repeated repairs by their own painters, and the quality of the final paint job is still unacceptable. We also found significant issues with our front door – it’s misaligned and warped, and they now refuse to address it. Beyond that, there were rough, unfinished edges on our laundry room counter and they initially told us to wait a year for these problems to be fixed, only to later backpedal and decline to complete the repairs. It’s been a truly disheartening experience, and we strongly advise you to explore other building options.”

I was extremely disappointed with Westridge. They consistently refused to address necessary repairs, seemed to argue about everything, and frankly, didn’t seem to prioritize doing things correctly. The positive reviews I saw seemed to be primarily from subcontractors – which makes me question their authenticity. The electrical work itself was shockingly poor; the grounds weren’t properly connected. I would absolutely not recommend using their services, and I certainly won’t be hiring them again.

“I’ve been working with Westridge Builders for over 15 years, and I’ve been consistently impressed. Their team is incredibly professional and they produce truly high-quality work – you can see the attention to detail in their homes. Having spent 32 years in the construction industry, I’ve worked with a lot of builders, and Westridge consistently stands out. I wholeheartedly recommend them for your next project.”

“Honestly, we couldn’t be happier with Westridge! We would absolutely build with them again and definitely use Christy, Leslie, and Dave & Shane again. From start to finish, it was a fantastic experience, and we’re still thrilled with our new home. Christy was amazing – she really helped us choose Westridge, and Leslie was incredible, always guiding us through the design process. Dave and Shane were so responsive and made us feel like part of the Westridge family. It’s been a truly wonderful experience, and we’re so grateful!”

I’m writing to share a serious concern I have about Westridge Builders homes. If you own one, are thinking about buying or selling, it’s absolutely crucial that you investigate the exterior of your house – specifically, what’s behind the siding. I discovered a significant lack of Tyvek or wrap protection, and I’m worried this could lead to leaks in the future, even if your house isn’t leaking now. I’ve seen similar issues reported by other Westridge homeowners through reviews on Facebook and on the Better Business Bureau website, and it seems like Westridge wasn’t following the manufacturer’s instructions, potentially voiding your James Hardie warranty. Ultimately, something needs to be done to address this. If you’re interested in exploring options, including potentially joining a class-action lawsuit against Westridge Builders and Carl Tomich, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’ve also noticed a lot of the positive reviews seem to be coming from subcontractors, which makes me think the overall rating of Westridge homes is likely much lower – around 2.4, if you factor out those reviews.

Westridge Builders initially seemed pleasant, but my experience with them has been incredibly disappointing. They installed Hardie plank siding on my home, and ultimately, they refused to take responsibility when the installation failed due to both poor material quality and their failure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines. This resulted in significant water damage throughout my house, costing me thousands of dollars in repairs. I’ve been battling this issue for over a year, and the only company standing by their product, Hardie Board, is offering to supply the materials. However, Westridge completely avoided their responsibility. Despite offering to cover the costs of removing and replacing drywall, insulation, mold remediation, repainting, new house wrap, and even repairing damaged flooring, they simply said it wasn't their problem. Honestly, it felt like they weren’t willing to stand behind their work at all. Because of their inaction, I’m now facing a $23,000 bill to have a different company install the siding, plus tens of thousands more in repairs. I strongly advise anyone considering using Westridge Builders to thoroughly research their reviews – their current rating of 2.9 out of 5 is a clear indication of serious issues. Please share your experiences with them; we’re organizing a group of affected homeowners to hold them accountable.

Overall, we absolutely loved the process of building our custom Westridge home. The team was incredibly accommodating to all of our specific needs, and we were consistently impressed with their professionalism and dedication. We’re so happy with the finished product!

“Buying our home from the original owners presented some unexpected challenges. We encountered several issues with the property and, unfortunately, repeatedly contacted the home warranty department with no response – our calls went unanswered and we felt completely dismissed. The person we finally spoke with was unhelpful and refused to provide any guidance or connect us with someone who could assist. On top of that, it seemed the builder made some really poor decisions, like locating the air conditioning and sump pump so close to the bedroom, which was a significant concern.”
