  We were absolutely delighted with TC Hafford’s work on our basement drainage system – it’s been about three years since the installation and our basement has stayed perfectly dry, which has given us incredible peace of mind.   I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with TC Hafford. They were hired to install a new foundation, sump pump, and perimeter drain in my basement, but the situation quickly spiraled into a serious safety concern. Without proper ventilation, they pumped dangerous levels of carbon monoxide into my home, leading the fire department to evacuate my family – they described the levels as deadly. After contacting TC Hafford, I was given a delayed and ultimately unhelpful response, with no one reaching out for over a week. When I finally contacted them a week later, I was dismissed. Adding to this, I paid the full bill for their work, and I raised concerns about a significant 14-inch discrepancy in the finished basement slab. Instead of addressing these issues, I received a letter from their attorney. It’s truly shocking that after such a serious mistake and causing a potentially life-threatening situation, TC Hafford reacted with such a cold and dismissive approach. I’d never have chosen them if I’d known they wouldn’t prioritize my safety or address fundamental issues with their work. I feel it’s important to share this story to warn others about the potential dangers and lack of responsibility I encountered. report abuse

  “We’ve been using a TC Hafford basement system for a long time, and it’s been fantastic – truly low maintenance. Recently, we had a bit of a problem with some water accumulating near the dehumidifier, and thankfully, TC Hafford responded quickly. Their technician, Brian, initially investigated and patched up the vinyl floor where the water was appearing. We set up a camera to monitor things, and unfortunately, the issue returned with a heavy rain. Brian and his team went above and beyond, continuing to work diligently to fix the problem, even without additional charges beyond a small amount for materials. It turned out the original window near the wet area had been poorly sealed after it was replaced last summer, and once they properly sealed that, the flooding stopped. My wife and I are incredibly grateful for Brian and his crew’s persistence and dedication – they really went the extra mile to solve this tricky situation. We wholeheartedly recommend TC Hafford to anyone considering a basement system.” report abuse

  Overall, I was really pleased with the service I received from TC Hafford Basement Systems. I’d been struggling for years to find a reliable contractor to address the issues with my foundation around the bulkhead doors, and I finally contacted them via email. Mark Smith quickly followed up with a phone call and scheduled a visit. Mark did a thorough job assessing the work, and then Dave, one of TC Hafford’s employees, completed the repairs and new door installation efficiently. Dave’s work was excellent – I’d definitely recommend him for any concrete or cement repairs. report abuse

  Honestly, our experience with this company was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. It took us far too long—six separate communications—just to get the basic information needed to finalize the proposal. We even had to chase them down on a deposit, and they initially claimed no record of it. Adding to the problem, they booked us four months in advance due to their heavy workload, and then shockingly cancelled our scheduled service at 3pm on a Friday for a Monday appointment due to what they called a “scheduling error.” We’ve received absolutely no work and have had a really poor experience with the office staff. We strongly advise against using this company. report abuse
