  I’m really disappointed with the service we’ve received. We purchased our solar system and battery backup from Revision Energy back in 2022, and the initial installation went smoothly. However, things have gone downhill significantly recently. Our inverter suddenly stopped working, and they assured us it was covered under warranty, agreeing to replace it without charge. After they swapped it out, the online system still wasn’t updated, and we weren’t getting accurate readings. It took several days to get that resolved, even though it was a simple fix on their side. Now, shockingly, our battery has been completely disconnected for over a month – despite their confirmation of the issue weeks ago. We’ve lost power due to this, and the battery, which was a major investment, isn’t even functioning. I’ve repeatedly contacted them, but I’m just getting the runaround; they keep saying they’re “on it,” but no one’s scheduled an appointment to actually fix it. Honestly, I would strongly advise against doing business with Revision Energy. report abuse

  “We were really pleased with SunBug – we found them through CET, and that was a key factor for us wanting a local, trustworthy company. Honestly, the experience with other solar companies we contacted was pretty overwhelming; some of them were incredibly pushy, almost like stereotypical car salespeople, and the responses were coming in from all over, even Chicago! But SunBug was a completely different experience. They were professional, really listened to what we wanted, and they allowed me to be involved in every step of the process, which was really important to me.   “I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience with SunBug. From the very beginning, the consultants were fantastic – they didn’t push anything and made the whole process of exploring solar and heat pumps for our home so easy and stress-free. They really took the time to explain all our options, including the rebates and financing, and even walked us through the process during the construction phase. What really stood out was the construction crew itself. They were incredibly polite, hardworking, and respectful of our home and yard – they left everything spotless! It was truly like they hadn't been there. We ended up getting enough solar panels to power our entire house, plus new heat pumps and even installed an electric car charging station. Considering it was all done in September 2020 during the pandemic, and they were incredibly mindful of safety and sanitation, I couldn't be happier with the results.   “I was really impressed with SunBug’s work with our community during the Solarize campaign. Honestly, I’m a big believer in solar, but I’d always been worried about the cost. SunBug did an incredible job connecting us with reliable quotes, financing options, and the whole interconnection process – it made going solar surprisingly affordable and straightforward. I haven’t paid an electric bill since 2017, and now I’m actually generating REC credits and building up a credit with Eversource that I can use to shift my energy usage to electric.   I’d been considering solar for a while, and after completing some renovations on my house, I decided it was the right time to get quotes. I got estimates from a couple of major solar companies, and I always do my research by checking online reviews. I was particularly interested in seeing how each company handled customer concerns, so I looked at the Better Business Bureau website. While both companies had some issues reported, the problems were much less frequent with SunBug Solar, which was reassuring given that they’d done a lot of installations in Massachusetts. My son had a good experience with SunBug Solar, so I decided to go with them. I was really impressed with their team – they were professional, attentive, and took the time to explain everything, including how to hide the electrical cables so they wouldn’t detract from the look of my roof. The installation itself went incredibly smoothly; the inspector signed off on it just two days later, and my utility company quickly installed a second meter. It was a bit complicated getting everything connected to my Wi-Fi, especially with the pandemic impacting timelines, but the team was patient and helpful. Overall, I had a fantastic experience with SunBug Solar – they were genuinely focused on making sure I was completely satisfied. report abuse
