“We were really pleased with Michigan Energy Services. They installed our geothermal system back in October 2020, and the team was fantastic – incredibly professional, on time, and just really courteous. The system’s working perfectly!”

Overall, we’ve been pretty disappointed with our geothermal system. It’s a very significant investment upfront and the ongoing running costs are quite high. We’ve noticed our neighbors, who have a larger house and less insulation, are paying significantly less on their natural gas bills. We’d really like to switch to propane – it’s currently much more affordable – and replace the system entirely. It’s been in operation for seven years, and frankly, it hasn’t delivered the performance we were expecting. We also tend to keep the thermostat a bit lower than our neighbors do, which likely contributes to the higher energy consumption.

“Brad was fantastic – he walked me through everything before coming over and got my in-floor heating working perfectly. Michigan Energy Services has always been so prompt and reliable; I really appreciate their service.”

“Matt and his team from MES did an absolutely fantastic job installing our solar water heating system. They really took a complicated system and explained it in a way that’s easy to understand and maintain. We’re thrilled with how efficient it is – we’d definitely recommend them!”

I was really looking forward to working with Matt Underwood after meeting with him in December 2018. He seemed knowledgeable about my Waterfurnace and zoning system, and he promised to get back to me soon with an estimate – though he cautioned that it might be after the holidays. I waited patiently, perhaps a little too long, and finally reached out in early February. Despite assurances from Rob Derksen that Matt would contact me, I received no calls. After multiple attempts to get through, I finally spoke with Matt around the second week of February, only to learn that the job was much more complicated than initially anticipated, and they couldn’t proceed. The explanation given – that they lacked the necessary AID tool – was particularly puzzling, as I’d specifically asked about having that tool for service. Despite Matt’s apologies for the lack of communication, I ended up just focusing on improving my ductwork, but even then, I didn’t receive any updates. It’s been over a month, and I’m still waiting to hear anything. It’s been incredibly frustrating.

Matt Underwood was fantastic – he really took the time to listen to what we were looking for when he put together the estimate for our geothermal and conventional HVAC system. The estimate was delivered promptly, was very clear about the work involved, and the pricing was competitive, especially considering the high-efficiency equipment. I’d definitely recommend giving them a call if you’re thinking about geothermal or Rheem systems.

“It was great meeting the team and hearing their initial ideas for the project. We’ve got a few revisions we’ve sent over for them to work with, and I’m really looking forward to seeing the final build.”

“I really appreciate the team coming out on a Sunday to fix my geothermal system. Their flexibility was a huge help!”
