  Matt and Joe did an absolutely fantastic job with the concrete work around our pool. They created a beautiful pad and two sidewalks, and they were so friendly and thoughtful – they really went above and beyond our expectations.   I’d strongly advise against using this company. We had a garage foundation and patio installed by them, and within just three months, both developed significant cracks running across their entire surface. It became clear they hadn't properly installed expansion cuts as required by code. Beyond that, the concrete floor in the garage is uneven – about a quarter of it remains incredibly rough. We’ve dealt with endless issues and Matt has been consistently difficult to reach and hasn’t followed through on any fixes. We’ve since learned that this company has a reputation for poor workmanship within the industry, which unfortunately proved to be accurate in our experience. report abuse

  “I hired Matthew Thouin for a stamped concrete walkway and front steps, and I’m incredibly disappointed with the final result. The work was shockingly poor – the steps and walkway look completely different, with significant crumbling and cracking. Despite this, Matthew refused to take any responsibility. I ended up having to take him to court, and thankfully, I won the case. However, it’s been seven months since the judgment, and I still haven't received payment. Adding to my concerns, I noticed one of his positive reviews used the same last name as his business partner at Pioneer Valley Construction – it raises some serious questions about the integrity of his business. Furthermore, he seems to have attempted to silence negative feedback by deleting comments from his Facebook page. Honestly, I’m left wondering if you can truly trust Matthew Thouin with your home renovation project.” report abuse

  Matt and his crew did a fantastic job building the shed foundation – truly exceeded our expectations. “Coast Guard Mike” was a standout; he’s a real hard worker and a genuinely great guy. They were also really thorough with the cleanup, and we were pleasantly surprised that they seeded the lawn around the project. report abuse

  Matt and his team were absolutely fantastic! They went above and beyond to ensure our project, which included a stamped concrete sidewalk, a back patio, and even preparing the groundwork for a future shed, was done to perfection. Everyone was so friendly and respectful of our property, and we couldn’t be happier with the quality of their work.   “We hired Spartan to install a 30x30 stamped concrete patio, and while the price was fair and the initial installation was good, we unfortunately had a really frustrating experience when it came to maintenance. We reached out at the end of April to schedule a reseal, but they completely dropped the ball. We left multiple messages and got no response whatsoever. It took three months of persistent calls to finally get a date in July, and even then, they didn’t follow through on their promise to call us for confirmation before we moved furniture. Honestly, it was incredibly frustrating and felt like they just weren’t interested in continuing to support us after the initial job was done. It’s disappointing because they suggested we contact them when we needed a reseal, but the lack of communication and follow-up was unacceptable – we wouldn't recommend them based on this experience.” report abuse

  I can’t recommend this company. We hired them for a large patio and walkway project about a year ago, and unfortunately, it’s completely fallen apart – crumbling and cracking all over. The owner, Matthew, immediately blamed the concrete supplier, but he’s spent the last three years dodging the issue. We eventually had Chicopee Concrete inspect it, and they clearly stated it was due to poor workmanship, not a problem with the concrete itself. Honestly, they seem disreputable and prioritize profit over quality. Please, don’t use this company. report abuse

  “The project ran significantly over schedule, taking weeks longer than anticipated. Unfortunately, the final work quality was quite poor – they struggled to create straight lines.
