  I was so pleased with the work Maine Wood Floors did on my Brazilian cherry hardwood floors. After a deep scratch appeared, Caleb responded quickly and provided a fair quote after inspecting the damage. Kergan was fantastic – he arrived three days later, was incredibly professional and friendly, and really took the time to expertly repair the scratches. It was a tricky job, requiring the removal and replacement of several pieces, but he made it look completely effortless. He even cleaned up every bit of dust and debris as he worked, and you honestly wouldn’t know the area had been repaired – it looks fantastic! I highly recommend Maine Wood Floors. report abuse

  I can’t recommend Don Dickel or his company at all. We hired him to install our wood flooring and staircase, and it was a complete nightmare. He was the most expensive quote we received, and frankly, he talked a really good game, convincing us he was the absolute best. Unfortunately, he was anything but. The work was terrible—we had to get my cousin’s construction husband to fix mold he’d put in the staircase, and we took pictures of all the problems. He wouldn’t even come back to fix it, and when we tried to complain, he just made up excuses and blamed us for everything. Seriously, don’t be swayed by his self-promotion. There are much more reliable installers out there – find someone reputable instead of taking a chance with him. report abuse

  Honestly, we had really high hopes for Dickel when we hired them to install hickory flooring in our upstairs – about 900 square feet total. We chose them based on their long-standing reputation and the positive impression we got from limited reviews. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. The installation was painfully slow, and the installer seemed completely uninterested in paying attention to detail. He finished the job without actually completing it properly. To add to the frustration, the office staff was consistently argumentative and unprofessional. We’d strongly recommend looking at other flooring options – Dickel just wasn’t worth the investment. And to make matters worse, after posting our initial review, they offered a free cleaning kit as a gesture, but it’s now nearly a month later and we still haven’t received it. It feels like a hollow attempt to address the issue. report abuse
