  “I’ve had a really frustrating experience with energy audits in the past, but my recent experience with Custom Insulation was fantastic. I’d had a previous audit three years ago and another contractor was a disaster – they were short-staffed and one of the workers was clearly under the influence. I was so relieved when they couldn’t start. This time, Custom Insulation, especially Angel and his crew, were a completely different story. They were punctual, kept the place clean, and really tried to minimize the disruption to our daily lives.   Overall, Custom Insulation did a fantastic job for the Mass Save program. The crew was incredibly professional and did excellent work, and I really appreciated how responsive and helpful the office staff was – they answered all my questions quickly and thoroughly.   “We’ve had a really frustrating experience with Custom Insulation, who installed our gas fireplace insert. Unfortunately, the insert was recalled shortly after installation, and we’ve been completely ignored when we’ve tried to get in touch. My husband and I have called repeatedly over the past few weeks, but haven't received any response. I even tried calling with a different number and without providing my last name, but still no one returned our calls. It’s simply unacceptable that they wouldn't bother to address the faulty fireplace or respond to our concerns. We’re going to be looking for another company that values its customers and actually answers the phone.” report abuse

  Honestly, working with this company was a huge headache. I scheduled them to do some crawl space insulation while I was on vacation, and then, completely last minute, the sales guy changed my appointment to the following week. I ended up having to take another day off work to be there. When they finally arrived on the rescheduled date, they informed me they couldn’t complete the job as we’d originally discussed. The salesman, John, then told me he’d only quoted a price for a smaller portion of the work, which felt like a total deception. They arrived at my house fully prepared and didn't even attempt to discuss a solution with me. I definitely won’t be using them again. report abuse

  I had a really frustrating experience trying to get a quote for my attic insulation project. I spoke with Ted, who handles the foam insulation business, and I was hoping to get a comprehensive solution, including insulating from the soffit to the ridge vent and incorporating my HVAC equipment into the design. While he initially suggested open-cell foam at R-38, I wanted to explore closed-cell foam at R-49. However, when I asked about the differences and his reasoning, he quickly stated he'd been doing this for years and didn't have time to explain it to me. Frankly, it felt dismissive and unprofessional – especially considering the $15,000+ investment. To add to the problem, I’d already contacted them multiple times via email and phone, and even their online form, with no response whatsoever. I’m definitely not going to hire someone who isn’t willing to take a few minutes to discuss my project. report abuse

  “I was really pleased with Custom Insulation – they quickly and efficiently fixed a leak I had in my roof, which I suspected was caused by my gutters. Their crew did a fantastic job realigning the gutters and diverting the water, completely resolving the issue in just two hours. And the best part?
