  “I was really hoping to use a local company for my flooring project, so I spoke with a friendly woman there and she took down my details, gave me some information, and said someone would get out to estimate within a week. However, two weeks went by with no word, so I checked back in, and they called apologizing and promised someone would be out the next day or two. Finally, a guy came by to take pictures and discuss the job, and they said they’d send me a quote the following day. It’s been months now, and I still haven’t heard anything. I ended up going to Home Depot and hiring a friend to do the installation myself – it’s frustrating when local businesses don’t seem to follow through like that.” report abuse

  Overall, we were incredibly happy with our experience working with Homestead Flooring. They had a great selection of tiles and the quality was really impressive. The team was so friendly and helpful – they were always there to answer our questions without being pushy, and we really appreciated their willingness to let us browse and make our own decisions. The tilers themselves were fantastic – hardworking, professional, and clearly dedicated to making sure we loved the final result.   Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with Homestead Flooring. As the owner of our local newspaper and now the building itself, I needed to get the historic headquarters back in great shape, and from the very beginning, Homestead was fantastic. Guy was just incredible – so enthusiastic, professional, and genuinely friendly, it completely put my mind at ease. I got a few other quotes, but his approach was so confident and positive that I knew right away Homestead was the right choice. And Tony and his crew were equally amazing! They were really willing to listen to my ideas and discuss the details of the project, creating such a warm and professional atmosphere.   Honestly, our experience with Homestead Tile was incredibly frustrating. We had a great initial interaction with Brie, who was always professional and courteous, but things completely fell apart once she went on leave. We had a specific installation date in August, and were clearly given instructions – disconnect the dishwasher and gas oven – which we did. Then, just two days before, the owner called to push the date back a week, citing trouble finding subcontractors. It felt like they’d taken on too much and hadn’t planned properly. When I politely raised concerns about being notified beforehand, the owner got angry and threatened to cancel the whole job. We ended up just waiting, and the installation didn't happen until the second week, right before our family was scheduled to leave for a week-long trip. We couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone, and we desperately needed to let them know about our travel plans and provide a contact number in case of emergencies. Thankfully, Brie, even while on leave, responded to our emails and helped track down a new installation date. Ultimately, an installer showed up unexpectedly, wanting to know where the key was – we’d purposefully left the back door unlocked, thankfully. But even after the job was finally completed, we were left with just a base covering and the original installer was injured. It was weeks later than it should have been, and the biggest problem was the complete lack of communication. It felt like they were depending solely on one person's knowledge, and that’s simply unacceptable. We’ll never use their services again, and we strongly advise others to do the same. If you do, bring a camp stove – you'll likely be without an oven for a while.” report abuse

  “Overall, the carpet installation was a really disappointing experience. They installed three large rooms while our apartment had just been freshly painted, and unfortunately, they caused significant damage – paint was smeared everywhere. Adding to the frustration, the trim and windows were left incredibly dirty. It felt like they weren’t taking our concerns seriously, especially since we’d informed them about the recently painted walls, and their response – a sarcastic letter suggesting we use box stores – was completely unacceptable. It was clear they weren’t open to any constructive feedback and their attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive.” report abuse
