  Overall, we were really pleased with Elk River Exteriors. We contacted several companies in late March for a patio door and deck quote, and they were the only ones who actually provided a detailed quote and then completed the work. The crew was consistently reliable and very courteous, and Lisa was fantastic – always quick to respond to our emails and keep us informed.   “We hired them last year for our shingle job, and honestly, the work itself looks really solid – it seems like they did a good job. However, we were surprised to be contacted about some rotten sheathing and told it needed replacing. The original estimate was for the whole house, but they only completed part of it, and the final bill was $1,000 higher than expected, without even including the garage or sunroom. Plus, we ended up with a lot of leftover materials – roofing nails and shingles – and they took those, claiming they were extras, which we didn't agree with. It just felt like we were overcharged. Looking back at the pictures they took, it seemed like they only addressed a few spots of rot, and the rest of the house was clearly still being used. When I raised my concerns to Lisa, she just kept talking about how a different company would have charged more. It was a bit frustrating because they advertise as a family business, but the crew was entirely Mexican, and it felt like they were using a second contractor. You’d expect to be paying them for the actual labor, but it seemed like they were outsourcing the work. Overall, they did a hard day’s work, but they really should have been upfront about not doing all the work themselves.” report abuse

  “I was incredibly disappointed with my experience with this company. From the start, they were extremely disorganized – I had to constantly chase them down for replacement parts. Then, to make matters worse, the billing was a complete mess; I was wrongly charged additional fees after already paying the original invoice. Despite the quality of the work itself, the significant delays and billing issues left me extremely unsatisfied and I definitely won’t be using their services or recommending them to anyone.” report abuse

  I absolutely couldn't be happier with the service Steve and Dylan provided. They were the only company that took the time to properly assess my stucco house and the work needed for the new garage door.
