“The delivery person we had today unfortunately didn’t seem to understand the instructions. Despite being clearly told to deliver to the other office and even given a suite number, she still left the delivery in the wrong location.”
-
“I’m consistently impressed with their selection – they always seem to have exactly what I need. Plus, the service is fantastic; the staff are really friendly and helpful.”

“SBS has a great selection of building materials, no matter the size of your project – they’ve got you covered with two locations in Anchorage. Just a heads-up, the one on Lake Otis Parkway doesn’t stock vinyl siding, but it’s the only one open on Sundays! It also has plenty of parking. However, be aware that this location has very steep stairs and a narrow ramp that’s quite a distance from the main entrance. If you have mobility issues, like sore legs or need handrails, you’ll want to use the entrance near Tudor Road instead.”

“I had a really frustrating experience at SBS today. I was trying to purchase just three items and was completely unable to get any assistance from the staff. It seemed like they were more interested in chatting amongst themselves or stocking shelves, and there were far more employees than customers. Sadly, this is the second time I’ve had a negative experience there this month, and I left feeling quite disappointed.”

“We absolutely loved our experience with SBS! Carolyn from the Design Center was fantastic – she really went above and beyond, especially considering how particular we were. It was amazing how quickly she got our new countertops installed, the next day even! We were so relieved we changed our minds before the contractor arrived. Carolyn was incredibly accommodating and took the time to chat with us about everything. We’re so grateful SBS is here in Anchorage; they had everything we needed, and even directed us to the right people to get exactly what we wanted for our kitchen remodel.”

“I had a fantastic experience at this Lowe’s! The staff were incredibly helpful, especially since I hadn’t shopped here before. They really took the time to assist me and found exactly what I needed at a better price. I’ll definitely be coming here first and supporting local businesses whenever possible. Thanks to the Lowe’s team for sending me here – I’m so glad I did!”
-
“Overall, I had no trouble locating what I was looking for. However, the checkout process was a bit frustrating. I was constantly being directed to different cashiers, particularly on the paint side, and it seemed like they weren’t paying much attention to customers – like they were just ignoring us.”
-
“I’ve been a really happy customer at Dewalt – I recently picked up a new weed whacker and they even threw in a free battery! I also entered the raffle and unbelievably, I won the grand prize! The service I’ve always received is fantastic; everyone is so helpful and friendly. It’s great to see a business that’s invested in our community.”
-
“I recently had Anderson windows installed at my home, and I want to say a huge thank you to Keith, Ryan, and George – they were fantastic installers and really went above and beyond to ensure I was happy with the work. However, I did have a slight issue with the color selection. The Anderson white isn’t quite a true white; it leans more towards a linen tone. To avoid confusion and frustration for potential customers, it would be really helpful to have a display of the windows available in the Mill Shop, along with an example of the Anderson white trim. Despite this, I'm ultimately pleased with the final result!”

“Overall, I had a really positive experience. The staff were incredibly helpful and clearly knew a lot about what they were selling, especially their high-quality marine-grade lumber. They also have a great selection for bigger projects like house painting.”
