  “I was extremely disappointed with my experience trying to get a quote for Marvin windows. I called three times and spent a significant amount of time – over 15 minutes – speaking with a representative who was located out of state. Despite her efforts, she couldn’t provide me with a clear estimate and never followed up as promised.   I was incredibly frustrated with Summit Windows and Doors. I’d used them for a small job in the past and it went smoothly, but when we recently needed to replace all the doors in our home, the experience was a complete disaster. We placed our order in September and paid the full amount, only to receive the doors in mid-October. Summit couldn’t even arrange a time to pick up our old doors – despite my weekly follow-ups, I received nothing but excuses. By November, I was seriously concerned they weren’t going to fulfill their obligations. Ultimately, I had to take matters into my own hands and fix the doors myself, only to discover they hadn’t actually stocked the custom doors we’d ordered. It felt like they were using long lead times as a way to avoid responsibility and prioritize larger clients over smaller orders.   “I’m incredibly frustrated with this whole experience. I paid the full amount for a window, only to find it was completely constructed incorrectly – the dimensions were reversed. They tried to fix it, essentially rebuilding it, but then tried to charge me again for a new, full window. Needless to say, I’m still without my window and haven’t received any resolution or refund.” report abuse

  “I’d been a happy Summit Windows and Doors customer back when I built my house about ten years ago. Recently, I ran into an issue with the locking mechanisms on my windows, and I contacted Summit to see about a replacement. To my surprise, they confirmed it was covered under warranty and not only provided me with the new hardware, but they even arranged for a repair company in Anchorage to do the installation – all completely free of charge.” report abuse
