“Overall, Alaska Specialty Equipment Rental (Bailey’s Rental on Old Seward) offered a better deal than United Rental.”
-
“I wanted to say how great my experience was at Totem Equipment. John was incredibly helpful – he quickly checked for the part I needed for my computer and then assisted me in person. He not only found the part but also let me know about a change in the part number from my snowblower manual. I also appreciated him taking the time to answer my questions about the new Tracked Ariens model – I’m planning to get one when I’ve saved up the money! Thanks to John and Totem Equipment for the excellent service.”

“My experience renting a high-lift truck at JBER was really disappointing. The lift arrived without a battery, and requesting service felt like a huge hassle. The individual I spoke with was incredibly unhelpful and even displayed a very rude attitude, escalating into yelling when I raised concerns about the issue. Honestly, the whole interaction was poorly handled, and I wouldn’t recommend renting from this company – I’ll be looking for a rental service with better customer service in the future.”
-
“I’ve rented equipment from Totem a few times now, and I’m consistently impressed. Their equipment is always in great shape – clean and well-maintained, and they’re ready to go when we need them. I’ve used a variety of things, from smaller tools like paint sprayers and meat grinders to a Sany backhoe, and I’ve never had any issues. They’re really reliable and accommodating, and they’re definitely the first place I call whenever I need equipment.”
-
“I’ve been really pleased with Totem Equipment and Rentals – I’ve used their services quite a few times over the last year. It’s a great, family-run business, and everyone I’ve dealt with has been so helpful and efficient. The staff are really knowledgeable and friendly, and they always seem to have exactly what I need, when I need it. They’re definitely my go-to place for equipment rentals and purchases.”
-
“I’m incredibly disappointed with Totem. I’d been using them for equipment rentals throughout the year, spending a significant amount of money – thousands of dollars – and unfortunately, it was consistently plagued with problems. Most recently, they completely failed to deliver equipment needed for a major project, causing a huge setback for me and costing me a lot of time and money. To add insult to injury, when I raised my concerns with the owner, he was completely unprofessional and dismissive. I’ll definitely be going with a different supplier going forward.”
-
“Overall, I had a really positive experience. The customer service was excellent, and they had a fantastic range of equipment available.”
-
“I was really impressed with this team – they’re incredibly knowledgeable about their equipment, and it’s clear they take great care of it with their regular maintenance and servicing. I’d definitely be using their services again in the future.”
-
“My brother was really pleased with his rental – he got a Toro Dingo from them and it was in fantastic shape. They even delivered it quickly and were really helpful while he was getting it.”
-
“Finding this place was really difficult – I’ve lived in Anchorage for 43 years and struggled to locate it. A bigger, more visible sign would definitely help. It seems like Baily’s Rental could benefit from a sign that stands out like the one Baily’s has.”
