  “We were absolutely thrilled with the whole experience – from start to finish, the team at Giant Dons was fantastic. Everyone we dealt with, from the sales associate to the installer, provided excellent customer service. Kevin, in particular, deserves a huge shout-out; he was incredibly meticulous and clearly takes real pride in his work – he’s a true perfectionist! They replaced all our carpet and laminate throughout the house, and the results are spectacular. We especially loved the transformation of our stairs – you really have to see the before and after to believe it! If you’re looking for ideal flooring, Giant Dons is definitely the place to go.” report abuse

  “I just wanted to share an outstanding experience I had at Giant Don’s in Anchorage. Amy Crutchfield was absolutely amazing – truly a pleasure to work with. She was incredibly professional, courteous, and very efficient, and she kept me informed every step of the way. Amy was also really accommodating, which made the whole process so easy. The floors – both the carpet and the vinyl – look fantastic, and I’ll definitely be returning to Giant Don’s again thanks to her.   “We were really disappointed with our recent experience. The new estimator came across as quite arrogant and struggled to answer our questions effectively. It felt like he lacked the experience we expected, and we would have appreciated having a more seasoned professional with him. More concerningly, he made some inappropriate comments about our financial situation, and seemed to be creating an inflated estimate based on our responses – significantly higher than other quotes we’d received. He even dismissed other companies as simply trying to take advantage of people. Overall, it felt unprofessional and frankly, quite insulting.” report abuse

  “I purchased this carpet back in May and was promised installation as soon as the weather permitted. Despite multiple calls throughout the summer, it wasn’t until October – and even then, it was installed in the snow! To add to the frustration, the steps weren’t finished, and overall the service was really poor. Sadly, the finished product wasn’t great either. I’d definitely advise looking for a different installer.” report abuse

  “We’re so happy with our new laminate floors, and a huge part of that is thanks to Ion. From the very beginning at Giant Don’s, he was incredibly professional and helpful, always taking the time to answer our questions and never pressuring us. He was also incredibly thorough when he measured our house and was so patient with us as we worked through all the details of our unique home – especially with those many stairs!   “I really wish things had gone better with Giant Dons. I invested a significant amount of money – thousands of dollars – in new carpeting and vinyl plank flooring for my whole house, and I specifically chose them to support a local business. However, I’ve had a major issue with the stair noses and the transitions around the doors. They keep popping off, which is incredibly concerning and, thankfully, my son-in-law and grandson weren’t injured when he fell while holding him. The particular stair nose was completely ruined, and when I contacted Giant Dons, including my salesperson Alex and manager Mike, I’ve been completely ignored despite the products being under warranty. It’s been months with no resolution. I noticed the online reviews are overwhelmingly positive, but I wanted to share my experience just in case others have had similar problems.   “We were so pleased with the work Giant Don’s Anchorage did to update our apartment for our son’s return. Doug Cannon, our project manager, was fantastic – really helpful and responsive. They got the new luxury vinyl plank flooring installed in just a week, and even replaced all the molding, which looks absolutely wonderful. Doug Cannon was fantastic – he really went above and beyond to help us, from the initial measurements and product selection to answering all of our questions and coordinating the installation. We especially appreciated him checking in with us via text, even on his days off. The installation team was also incredibly professional and did a truly outstanding job; they were so responsive to our concerns and did everything they could to meet our needs. The installers were truly top-notch; they were on time, incredibly detail-oriented, friendly, efficient, and just worked so hard. The installation itself was superb, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
