  Overall, we’re really pleased with the solar system RES installed on our Homer roof. They were professional and completed the job quickly and seamlessly – it was connected within three days of the inspection, and they didn't even require a final pickup. We have a south-facing 4/12 roof, which is a bit sloped, but it’s worked out really well. So far, the system’s performing great, especially considering the weather we’ve had – it’s been mostly cloudy and snowy. During those times, it still produced a solid 15.8 KWH on one day, and we saw some impressive numbers like 40.8 KWH on a completely clear day in early April. As the weather improves and the snow melts, we anticipate even better production. We’re very happy with the results so far! report abuse

  Overall, we were really pleased with our experience with Renewable Systems Energy. From start to finish – getting the panels ordered, the installation itself, and their follow-up – they were fantastic. The team was incredibly professional, friendly, and clearly worked really hard to get the job done right. They handled the coordination with the utility company smoothly, and it only took a couple of weeks for them to come out and swap the meter. Just a few days after having my solar panels installed, there was a minor issue with the wiring, but the team came out quickly and completely resolved it by upgrading and reworking the whole system.   “I was really pleased with my experience at RES. Carl and Kevin were fantastic – they gave me some great recommendations and I appreciated them taking the time to walk me through everything. I compared prices online and found RES to be very competitive, but what really stood out was the convenience. I ended up buying a 400-watt system for my truck camper, and the installation was surprisingly quick, only about 3.5 hours.   Overall, Renewable has some fantastic quality parts, and I’ve heard good things about their stock. However, our experience with their service was really frustrating. We had a Battleborn battery installed, but the wiring was done incorrectly, leading to serious issues with our truck’s electrical system. Despite spending a couple of days with their technicians, and then another round of repairs, the problem kept recurring. It took months of intermittent fixes, and eventually the whole system completely failed, even with solar input and charging from our truck. We ended up having to buy a new camper just to escape this constant cycle of repairs and corrections. While Karl, one of their technicians, seems knowledgeable, it appeared other staff were still learning, and the troubleshooting process took an unreasonably long time. They initially covered the labor and parts costs, but then started charging for work even though the system wasn't reliably working. report abuse

  “I wanted to share a really positive experience I had with RES during a challenging situation. I was at a remote cabin over Christmas break when my generator completely failed in temperatures of -32F. Thankfully, the solar system I purchased from them was working flawlessly. However, my backup generator wasn’t kicking in. I reached out to Kevin at RES, and he was absolutely fantastic. He spent almost 40 minutes patiently working with me to troubleshoot everything and get my system back up and running. Seriously, the level of support he provided was exceptional – it’s rare to find such knowledgeable and helpful customer service.
