“Working with Barley|Pfeiffer Architecture was truly a fantastic experience. From start to finish, they completely understood our vision and created a retirement home that feels absolutely perfect for us. The quality of the construction is exceptional – it’s noticeably better than most homes in our area. But what really set them apart was their incredibly thoughtful design process. They didn't just design a house based on our aesthetic preferences; they considered *how* we live, paying attention to everything from room flow to the heating and cooling systems. Despite being based in Austin, they were consistently on-site and we worked together really well. Honestly, the level of detail in their plans was incredible, and it's made a huge difference in how energy-efficient our home is – we're amazed at how little we spend on utilities. We wholeheartedly recommend Barley|Pfeiffer Architecture.”

“After seven wonderful years in our Barley & Pfeiffer home, I can honestly say it was the smartest investment we ever made. The design really delivered – our house is fantastic and incredibly easy to live in. We’ve been able to add some smart upgrades like solar power and a garage heater, which have been invaluable, especially given the occasional hard freezes we get in Texas. We’re even planning an emergency generator. Honestly, it’s just held up beautifully with very little maintenance. We chose Barley & Pfeiffer because they seemed to understand exactly what we were looking for – a low-maintenance, energy-efficient home for retirement. Alan and Peter really listened to our needs and took the time to walk us through a typical day to ensure the layout worked perfectly with our lifestyle. The design process was fantastic; it was so collaborative and we were able to incorporate features from all the homes we’d lived in over the years. It was great working with them while we were living overseas. They also helped us select a great builder, and their detailed specifications ensured we got exactly what we contracted for. We’re really thrilled with the finished product – the stone work is stunning, and we're saving a fortune on our utility bills thanks to the energy-efficient design and the rainwater collection system. As a project manager, I’m incredibly satisfied – Barley & Pfeiffer deserves a full 5-star rating for the value they delivered.”
