  “I was really impressed with Roland Slate and Roofing. A friend recommended them to me, and I was already in the process of signing a contract with another company when I spoke with Nick. He gave me a fantastic estimate for repairing both of my Row House roofs, and he even suggested an upgrade with a better warranty – which I ultimately went with. From the very beginning, the team was incredibly friendly and professional. There was a slight language barrier, but they always kept me updated daily and cleaned up the site perfectly. John, who was there on the first day, was especially helpful, walking me through everything and answering all my questions.   Overall, we were really pleased with the service we received. The only slight hiccup was the scheduling – we were given plenty of advance notice of when the job would be done, so it wasn't unexpected. We were dealing with some really bad weather that week too, which likely contributed to the delay. We contacted them about a small leak near our bay window, and they recommended replacing the flashing. The salesperson was great, explaining our options and helping us decide, and we ultimately chose to have the flashing fixed on both windows and then schedule a follow-up for the more extensive slate replacement. The workers were really reliable, showing up early each day while we were at work, and everything looks really good so far. We’re planning to get them back in the spring to tackle the cracked tiles then. report abuse

  Overall, we were really happy with the service we received from Roland Slate Service Co. Chris Rawlinson, the sales estimator, was fantastic – he was incredibly helpful in steering us away from a light-colored roof because of our black walnut trees and the potential for staining. He clearly explained the pros and cons of each option, and we appreciated his expertise. The estimate itself seemed fair, and they completed the work promptly and left the area spotless.   Roland Slate did a good job getting the initial estimate and scheduling the work for me – they were much more responsive than the other companies I contacted. The crew did a solid job replacing the damaged tiles and resealing the ridges, and they stuck to the timeline they’d communicated. However, it was really disappointing to find out after they finished that they’d discovered additional work needed, which wasn’t part of the original estimate. I was expecting a full assessment when I received the initial quote, and it felt quite sudden to be told the job wasn’t complete. I’m meeting with the field manager next week to discuss this and hopefully find a resolution that works for everyone. report abuse

  Roland Slate did a fantastic job – I’ve used them before and always appreciate their professionalism. They replaced my loose slates and cleaned my gutters, and I knew right away the work was going to be done properly.
