They recently replaced two leaking windows, and what really impressed us was that they went above and beyond, staining and installing them even though their warranty had expired – completely free of charge.   Building our dream home with B-dirt, LLC was a truly awful experience. Starting in 2015, we quickly realized we’d made a huge mistake. As the house began to take shape, we were contacted by three other families who had serious concerns about the quality of the work – and rightfully so. Joe Ranweiler, one of the owners, wasn’t providing accurate or trustworthy inspections; in fact, his work was riddled with significant issues, including dangerously weak trusses, improperly installed windows, incredibly rough framing, and a host of other problems. We were incredibly lucky to have caught these issues before they were covered up completely. Adding to the nightmare was Joe’s personality. He seemed to thrive on making excuses and blaming others to avoid taking responsibility for his mistakes. We ended up in a difficult legal battle, and the judge, Richard Zimmerman, clearly saw through his deception, noting that his testimony was inconsistent and his behavior was combative and unreasonable.   “The quality of the initial work was unfortunately quite poor, with a noticeable lack of attention to detail. We encountered numerous significant issues and had to spend a considerable amount of time personally correcting them throughout the construction process. Furthermore, we found it difficult to get the issues addressed effectively, and the communication wasn't particularly helpful when we tried to resolve them.” report abuse
