“We were really excited to finally move into our new home, and it was a huge moment for our family. However, we quickly encountered a series of frustrating issues that significantly impacted our experience. Despite being diligent and documenting everything – including blue tape marking problems for our realtor, Cynthia Biggs – many of the repairs promised before closing weren’t completed. We faced months-long delays getting issues resolved, from significant cracks in the basement cement and driveway, to the malfunctioning electricity in the master bathroom. We even had to take matters into our own hands to fix the broken lazy susan in the kitchen and the dishwasher, because nobody seemed to be taking responsibility. The biggest disappointment was the lack of follow-up from Monument, particularly from project coordinator Damien, who often dismissed issues as ‘not under warranty’. Cynthia Biggs, our realtor, was also difficult to reach after closing and offered frequent excuses. Ultimately, we felt like we had to constantly chase Monument for updates and solutions, and we were left with a substantial amount of work to do ourselves. It was incredibly stressful and unexpected – something we certainly didn’t anticipate when embarking on such a major move. We wish anyone considering working with Monument a much smoother and more responsive experience.”

“Brian and Laurie McCormick had a really positive experience with Ed and his team. They were incredibly helpful, efficient, and provided a great range of options for their new furnace and AC. Everything from the initial estimates to the timely ordering and smooth installation was handled exceptionally well.”

We absolutely love our home! We bought it about 18 months ago and have been consistently impressed with the quality and the care that went into building it. We were in a really tricky situation – we had to move to Cheyenne on short notice and needed to find a place quickly to avoid moving twice. Thankfully, Cynthia Biggs and the team at Monument Homebuilders stepped in and, within just five weeks, helped us close on our home and move right in. They even surprised us by finishing our basement during that same timeframe! We did have a few very small issues when we first moved in – a slightly reduced water pressure in one of the showers, a missing piece of siding, and a missing door seal – but the 2-10 Home Warranty program handled everything quickly and professionally. Overall, our home is a fantastic, solidly built property with great appliances, beautiful granite countertops, and a reliable furnace and air conditioning. We’ve been so comfortable here, keeping warm in the winter and cool in the summer. We wholeheartedly recommend Monument Homebuilders – they were fantastic to work with!

“The new home had some significant issues upon completion – no shower doors or AC unit were installed, and there was a large amount of rebar sticking out of the garage. While the warranty was supposed to cover these problems, the process of reporting them was incredibly frustrating. You had to navigate multiple online portals and essentially file a complaint through a third party, with no real sense of urgency from your team. It felt like every excuse was made not to address the problems.”

I bought a house from this builder in Gillette, and it’s been a constant battle ever since. Over the past three years, I’ve spent almost all my time and money fixing issues that should have been addressed during construction. There were leaks everywhere – in the window sills, garage, and attic – and the contractors cut corners on things like the driveway, requiring complete replacements. It’s been a nightmare. Last night, I discovered water dripping from my kitchen ceiling due to faulty roof fittings, and it’s clear there were fundamental problems with the build. I’ve had to patch countless gaps in the crawl space to keep weather and pests out, and other neighbors have had similar issues, including a collapsed garage ceiling and serious mold problems that the builder refused to fix. Honestly, it’s been incredibly frustrating, and I strongly advise anyone considering buying a home from this company to proceed with extreme caution. It’s clear they don’t stand behind their work, and I’m just glad we recognized that and backed out of the deal before things got even worse.”

“Honestly, the quality of work on Monument homes is a serious concern. They seem to consistently use the lowest-cost subcontractors, and it’s reflected in the final product. We’re frequently called out to repair leaks, and the biggest problem we’ve seen is a lack of proper installation – specifically, the siding guys don’t seem to understand how to correctly apply the Tyvek under the roof flashing, allowing water to run behind it. Plus, many homes are missing kick-out flashing at the bottom of the roof, which is essential for directing water away from the siding. And with incorrect soffit installation – often lacking flashing or channels – the whole system isn’t sealed properly. If you're looking for a house that’s likely to leak, a Monument home might be a good choice.”

“I just wanted to say what a fantastic experience I had working with Monument Homebuilders. As a first-time homeowner, I was really nervous about the whole process, but the team went above and beyond to answer all my questions and make sure everything was perfect. Seriously, I couldn’t be happier!”

“I’ve been incredibly pleased with Monument Homebuilders since 2009. They consistently build quality homes at a really good value, and honestly, their customer service after the sale is outstanding – the best I’ve experienced from any builder.”

“I’m so pleased with the work they did – it’s been six months since we finished, and they were even happy to tackle a few small updates I needed. They were really responsive and delivered excellent quality, so I’m very satisfied.”

Honestly, this contractor left me with a huge mess to deal with. It seems like they were here for a quick job and didn’t put in the necessary work. I’ve included pictures of the finished (or rather, unfinished) result, and I’m happy to share them to back up my experience.
