Shane, in particular, was very helpful – he gave me what seemed like a completely honest opinion that replacing the water heater was the best course of action. He even took the time to explain how to properly maintain it, which was something I’d never been advised about in any of my previous five homes.   “We’ve been so pleased with Merritt Plumbing – we’ve used their services three times in the last two weeks for both an emergency repair and installing new faucets. Scheduling was really easy and everyone we worked with was professional and did a great job. We were particularly impressed with Alf, who responded so quickly to our Saturday afternoon emergency – he arrived within 45 minutes and expertly handled the leak in our basement.   “We had a really frustrating experience with a basement flood, and it turned out we had a significant groundwater issue. Thankfully, Merritt’s was able to help. Randy came out to assess the situation, and he was fantastic – he took the time to really listen to our concerns and explained everything in a way we could easily understand. He even advised us to start with the most affordable solution, which was a smart move. We were tempted to go with the more extensive work, but appreciated his honest advice. He even came back for a second estimate once we finalized our decision. After the sump pit, pump, and drain pipes were installed, we discovered some damage to our drywall near the window, which was understandably a bit unsettling. Randy responded immediately when we called him about it, and he promptly agreed to cover the cost of repairs. It wasn’t a huge issue, but it was reassuring that they took responsibility and handled it so smoothly. Overall, we were incredibly impressed with Merritt’s – their honesty, responsiveness, and commitment to customer satisfaction.   “I was really impressed with the service I received – both times! First, they expertly installed a new gas line for my fireplace and cooktop, and they were fantastic getting everything up and running just in time for a cold weekend. The price was fair and they did a truly outstanding job. More recently, one of my on-demand water heaters failed, and thankfully, the technician diagnosed the problem quickly. Instead of just replacing it, he carefully cleaned the system, which turned out to be the solution. It was so refreshing to work with someone who took the time to understand the issue and fix it properly. Both experiences were excellent – on time, efficient, and at a very reasonable price.
