McHugh Construction’s lack of responsiveness and disregard for safety and neighborhood concerns is deeply concerning. During our project, we experienced a consistent pattern of negligence – failing to provide necessary traffic signage, ignoring our requests for on-site management, and, alarmingly, witnessing intimidation tactics used by their subcontractors when we attempted to document issues. We observed a complete lack of attention to site safety, with workers routinely disregarding sidewalks and blocking streets without proper precautions. Their actions directly contradicted posted safety signage and created significant hazards for pedestrians and surrounding properties. We documented these issues with photos and video, but our attempts to get a resolution were met with indifference. It’s clear McHugh prioritizes deadlines over responsible construction practices and the well-being of the community. Based on our experience and conversations with other local residents and businesses, we strongly advise against using McHugh Construction – you're far better off selecting a company that values collaboration, safety, and a commitment to being a good neighbor.
