  “I was incredibly pleased with the work Jose and his crew did on my hardwood floor – they completely resolved the water damage and installed a gorgeous new porcelain tile that I chose. Throughout the whole process, communication was fantastic; they were always informative and friendly, which made a huge difference.   “I couldn’t be happier with the work Jose and his crew did! From start to finish, they were fantastic. Jose kept me updated every step of the way with daily communication, and the team itself was incredibly friendly and professional – truly a pleasure to have around. Because we have an older house, they encountered a couple of unexpected challenges, but they handled everything with such skill and precision, and even finished the job ahead of schedule.   “I was really disappointed with the renovations they did to my apartment building’s back porches, which were converted into indoor living spaces. Unfortunately, shortly after the work was completed, one of the windows started leaking, and it took a huge amount of persistent phone calls to get them to even acknowledge the problem. They just applied some caulk, but the leak returned within a few months, and they were incredibly slow to respond this time. They repeatedly postponed addressing it and seemed to be avoiding the issue altogether. Eventually, they just stopped responding completely – they vanished without a trace. They also weren’t willing to provide any information about their insurance coverage for the work. Honestly, I wouldn’t trust this company again, and I’d urge anyone considering using them to be very, very cautious.” report abuse

  JC General Construction did a fantastic job tuckpointing our buildings – a really big undertaking given they’re 135 years old! We chose them because they had the lowest bid and really positive references. The team was incredibly capable and hardworking, and they went out of their way to minimize any inconvenience for our residents. They were great at adjusting to the weather, and the cleanup at the end of each day was spotless. Jose, the project manager, was also outstanding. He kept us fully informed throughout the process, was always available to answer our questions, and he was really open to our ideas and suggestions. It was our first experience with them, but we’d absolutely consider using them again for future projects – they did a truly excellent job. report abuse

  JC did an absolutely fantastic job transforming my basement! They started with installing the drain tile system and then JC’s team completely restored the space. What really stood out was how efficient they were – they got the job done quickly and were so accommodating, letting me ask questions as they worked. They even surprised me by adding a basic bathroom for a really reasonable price because the floors and walls were already open. And when I noticed a couple of small things that weren’t quite right, they immediately came back and took care of it.   “I was dealing with a really frustrating leak in my living room for a couple of years, and I had hired several contractors who couldn’t seem to fix it. Finally, I called JC General Construction, and they were fantastic. They quickly diagnosed the problem – it turned out the original builders hadn’t properly waterproofed under the siding. They took care of everything really efficiently, and I was so impressed with their confidence. They assured me the issue was completely resolved, and thankfully, I haven’t had any leaks since!   “I’m really disappointed with this experience. While I don’t want to leave a negative review, I found their communication to be extremely poor. They initially responded well to set up a consultation, but after confirming a specific date and time, they didn't follow up. When I contacted them on the day of our agreed-upon call, the representative simply hung up on me – which was incredibly unprofessional and made them completely unreliable.” report abuse
