  “I can’t recommend this company. We put down a $600 deposit for solar panels, and they completely failed to keep us updated. We paid in June and it wasn’t until mid-September that we had to chase them down for any information about our order. Getting a refund was a really frustrating and lengthy process, and they haven’t returned our calls or followed up with us at all. To add to the problem, after getting our money back, they then tried to sell us a completely new set of panels at a significantly higher price and a much longer installation time.” report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with this experience. I paid a 50% deposit ten months ago and the contractor never completed the job. Now, I’m facing a frustrating battle to simply get my money back. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this company. report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience ordering a Generac standby system from this company. I placed my order in October 2021 and paid a $2000 deposit to ensure an installation in November, but I’ve been completely ignored since then. After following up in January, the owner, Jim Norman, blamed supply chain delays, but never processed my refund request. Despite repeatedly calling and sending emails – including a confirmation last Friday – I’ve received nothing. The Accounts Receivable Clerk, Delilah Daniel, was particularly unhelpful, even confirming the wrong mailing address and offering no timeline for my refund. It’s incredibly frustrating to be given the runaround and treated with such disregard. Honestly, I would strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere; the level of service is simply unacceptable. report abuse

There was absolutely no installation required, and the whole process was incredibly simple.   “I’m really disappointed with ABS’s work as part of the Solarize Fairbanks campaign. We got our solar system installed through their group buy, expecting a discount and rebate, but we still haven’t received the rebate we were promised, and we’ve heard from several neighbors that they’re facing similar issues. Communication has been a major problem – they’re incredibly slow to respond to calls and emails, often offering excuses weeks after a problem arises. Honestly, I’d strongly recommend looking for a different contractor; you’ll likely save yourself a lot of frustration and wasted time.” report abuse

  Overall, the solar installation itself works well, thankfully. The system was certified within a couple of weeks, which was good. However, I’m really disappointed with the aftermath. The installers left a significant mess running the power lines, and despite repeated requests over the last month, they haven’t addressed it. It’s now going to snow, and I ended up having to do the cleanup myself – hauling in two truckloads of gravel. While the solar panels are functioning as expected, the lack of follow-through on the cleanup is frustrating and regrettable, especially considering the initial contract included that work. report abuse
