“I was really pleased with my purchase – I got a lot of tractor and truck batteries from them. The batteries themselves were fantastic, and I was particularly impressed with their service; they even installed the batteries while I was waiting!”

“I can’t recommend this company. We put down a significant $600 for solar panels, and we never heard back from them – no updates, no calls. It took us going into the office in mid-September, after waiting nearly three months, just to try and get a refund. The whole process was incredibly frustrating and difficult. To add to that, after getting our money back, they immediately tried to sell us a completely new system at a much higher price and a much longer installation timeline. It was a really disappointing experience.”

“I’m incredibly frustrated with this experience. I paid a 50% deposit ten months ago and the contractor never completed the work. Now, I’m being given the runaround trying to get my money back. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this company.”

I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience ordering a Generac standby system from this company. I placed an order in October 2021, putting down a $2000 deposit to guarantee an installation in November. After not hearing anything, I followed up in January and was given the excuse of supply chain delays – a response I completely understand, but one that didn’t lead to any action regarding my deposit. I requested a refund, and while Jim Norman, the owner, initially promised to mail a check, he hasn't followed through. I’ve called repeatedly over the past two weeks, only to be given the same canned response: “the check is in the mail.” Each time, I’ve been passed around and given vague answers with no timeline. I even sent a formal email confirming my request, but still received no response. Then, in my latest call, the Accounts Receivable Clerk, Delilah Daniel, seemed dismissive and confirmed the wrong mailing address before repeating the same excuse. It’s clear there’s a serious lack of communication and accountability. Honestly, the level of service I received was unacceptable, and I strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere – it’s simply not worth the frustration.

“I was really impressed with how simple the initial setup was – I paid upfront and they just needed to forward the product to me. It was completely straightforward and required no installation. However, six and a half months later, I still haven’t received anything, and they’ve now started pursuing collections, which is incredibly frustrating.”

“We went with ABS through the Solarize Fairbanks campaign, hoping for a discounted installation and rebate. Unfortunately, we haven’t received any of the promised rebates, and we’ve heard from many other homeowners in the group buy that they’re still waiting. Their communication has been incredibly poor – we’ve waited weeks for responses to calls and emails, and received only excuses when we’ve raised concerns. Seriously, avoid ABS; you’ll likely waste your time and money.”

“I bought my home in August and the previous owner had a solar system installed, which I chose to take over the contract for rather than cancel it. The solar panels themselves were installed and certified within about two weeks, thankfully. However, the biggest issue is the incredibly messy job they left behind – the power lines were strung everywhere, and they haven’t addressed the damage to my driveway or filled in the holes they created. I’ve been following up for weeks, but I’m constantly being told they’ll get to it soon, and now with the upcoming snow, I had to take matters into my own hands and haul in two truckloads of gravel to fix it myself. It’s done now, but it’s really frustrating because the solar system works perfectly, but the lack of cleanup is a major disappointment, and I definitely regret proceeding with their installation.”

“I was really disappointed with this company. I’d made a significant upfront payment in May 2020 for a home solar array, but they’ve repeatedly failed to complete the installation. It’s now October and I’m still waiting. While the team were pleasant, it seems they struggled to manage a project of this scale.”
-
“It seems like this service is really geared towards people who just need a quick, simple part order – not ideal if you’re looking for a more complex or involved process.”
-
“I’ve worked with this team for years and can honestly say they’re fantastic. If you’re looking for solutions for off-grid living, I highly recommend reaching out to them.”
