Honestly, I was really excited to start working with them after their quick response to my initial inquiry. However, the experience after that was quite disappointing. The first scheduled call was missed without any communication, and it took a significant amount of chasing on my part to get an apology and a commitment from a designer. When we finally managed to connect, I realized I’d made a mistake with the date and proactively reached out to reschedule. Despite that, the designer didn’t get in touch until 30 minutes after the original time. The discovery call itself felt a little rushed, with very few questions about my project, and I was simply told I’d receive a quote the next day. It took another few days to finally get a response, which wasn’t a quote at all, but an apology and a notification that they weren't going to proceed. I'm genuinely disappointed with the lack of follow-through and the overall professionalism I experienced. It’s a shame because their website gave me a really positive first impression, and I hope they’ll use this feedback to improve the client experience moving forward.

“I was really concerned by the driver of the truck with license plate NSY. He was driving very aggressively, weaving in and out of traffic on Memorial Drive and forcing other drivers to brake suddenly. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend using their services.”

“These guys had some really promising ideas, but unfortunately the quality of the work itself was quite disappointing. To avoid any surprises, I’d strongly advise getting everything – the scope of the project, payment terms, and timelines – documented in writing before they begin. And please, carefully inspect the finished work before you make the final payment.”

Overall, we’d give this project a 2-star rating. While the other trades did a solid job, there were some serious issues with Construction Concepts and their subcontractor, Zane Mechanical, that significantly impacted the project. We initially gave them a 1-star deduction due to a fraudulent invoice. They submitted an invoice for roofing work that was supposed to be the customer’s responsibility, and when questioned, provided false documentation claiming landlord approval – which we later verified wasn’t true. They couldn’t even provide proof of payment. Then, Zane Mechanical’s quality control was appalling. We found numerous unfinished duct penetrations and they installed significantly cheaper, residential dehumidifiers instead of the required commercial units, completely ignoring the approved plans. Worst of all, they made unapproved design changes that remain unresolved a year and a half later! Finally, they failed to honor the warranty on the HVAC work, leaving a fresh air supply unfinished and leaking. Despite these major problems, we acknowledge the other trades performed well, so we’re giving them a 2-star rating overall.

“The team was really friendly and welcoming, and the office itself was lovely – a great reflection of the quality of work they offer.”
-
“Josh, we really appreciate all your support on our projects – you’ve been a huge help!”
-
“While the initial quote was very affordable, we ultimately ended up paying significantly more for maintenance and upkeep over the period.”
-
This company has consistently delivered some really impressive results – their projects have been fantastic.
-
“They were really well-informed about their products and incredibly efficient in setting everything up.”
-
It had a really lovely vibe – sophisticated but also welcoming and knowledgeable. They clearly knew their business well.
