  “I was so impressed with the service I received! When my furnace went out, they immediately started looking for a quick fix, and thankfully Todd was sent out. He was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and got the problem resolved really fast. My dog even seemed to approve – she’s a pretty good judge of character, so that’s a good sign!   “I recently had a tech come to my house to add coolant to my AC system, and unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the price. The service call cost $159, and they charged $162 for 2.5 pounds of R410A at $65 a pound, totaling $321. That felt very expensive for what was done – the tech was only at my house for about 30 minutes and just rang the doorbell once when he arrived; my house isn’t huge. I’ve been looking into getting similar service elsewhere, and I’ve found quotes for around $100 for the service call and $50 a pound for the refrigerant. It’s frustrating to see such a significant price difference for a relatively straightforward job.” report abuse

  “I just wanted to say how fantastic my experience was with Southside Heating and Air Conditioning. We had a really serious problem – our furnace just died, and it was freezing in the house. They arrived incredibly quickly, just as we were starting to get cold. It turned out the engineers who came were actually focused on repairs, and they treated it like an emergency, which was exactly what we needed. They were genuinely helpful, really knowledgeable, and very professional. And, thankfully, the cost was very reasonable. I’ve already got them listed on my bulletin board – they’re definitely the first people I’ll call if I ever need heating help again!” report abuse

We had a complete furnace failure when it was -25 degrees, and he was able to get a technician out to us first thing in the morning, even with a busy schedule.   Honestly, I’m incredibly disappointed with my recent experience with Southside. After starting a conversation at 8am, it took over seven hours to finally be told they couldn’t fix my furnace that day. I ended up calling five times, and two of those calls went straight to voicemail. It turned out one technician simply wasn’t answering his phone, and the other just confirmed the obvious – that my furnace was broken and they couldn’t schedule a repair. There was no apology for the complete lack of communication or their inability to actually resolve the issue. This is completely unacceptable, and I’ve decided to go with a different company going forward. report abuse
