  I was incredibly pleased with Olson Sheet Metal Works. They completely resolved my leaking fireplace chimney issue – they inspected, diagnosed the problem, designed and fabricated a fantastic flashing diverter. From start to finish, they were professional, delivered on their timeline, and their skill level was truly impressive. It’s no surprise they’ve been in business since 1928; their workmanship is outstanding, and I’ve no doubt many construction companies across the state rely on their expertise.   Olson Sheet Metal was, without a doubt, the most frustrating experience I’ve ever had as a customer. I hired them to do a simple repair on a kitchen rail, and it took over 14 *months* – not days, but months – from the initial measurement to the final installation. There were multiple missed appointments, and I constantly had to chase him down for explanations, usually with excuses about being “on vacation.” As the customer, I shouldn’t have to be the one following up. While I understand things happen, I still had to contact him each time. This dragged on and on, and I ended up adjusting my schedule for 14 months. When the actual repair finally took less than an hour, it felt incredibly long and unsatisfying. After that, I decided to give them another chance and requested a quote for a backyard project. They took measurements, but I heard nothing back for six weeks, so I had to tell them to forget about it. Thankfully, I was able to find a different contractor who completed the job in just five days. Honestly, I can’t recommend Olson Sheet Metal – it was a terrible experience, and there are plenty of other reliable contractors out there. report abuse

  Honestly, I was extremely disappointed. They were incredibly slow and consistently gave me misleading updates about my project’s timeline – it felt like they were constantly over-promising and then failing to deliver. I’m frankly amazed they’re still in business given this level of unreliability. report abuse
