  “We are absolutely thrilled with the backyard transformation Sean and Mountainscapers created for us! For years, we’d dreamed of a small basketball court, and we went through several landscapers before finding Sean. From the very beginning, his calm and friendly approach made all the difference. He really took the time to listen to our ideas, and then he produced a stunning, full-color design – it was far beyond what we’d imagined! Sean truly understood what we wanted – we wanted a natural-looking court with trees and beautiful landscaping, and he delivered on all fronts. He had incredible ideas and worked with us every step of the way, even encouraging me to get involved in the planting process! The finished product is absolutely incredible – not just a basketball court, but a completely transformed backyard with subtle, natural play lines, beautiful berms, trees, concrete stain, flagstone steps, and rock gardens. We got so much more than we anticipated, and at a fantastic price! Sean and his team made the whole process so much fun, which was a really nice surprise. We’re now playing basketball and enjoying our backyard every day.   Sean and his team did an absolutely fantastic job redesigning and installing our front flower bed and fences/gates. We’re so pleased with the final result – it really transformed our side yards!   Sean and Mountainscapers did an absolutely fantastic job transforming my property! It was a truly collaborative process – we’d been planning this project for a year, and the final result is incredible. He brought a really creative and professional approach to the project, completely revitalizing my 1/2 acre in North Central Phoenix. I specifically wanted something unique with a modern feel, and he beautifully incorporated a large, functional garden with the fruit trees I’d envisioned, along with custom features like fountains, a bridge, patios, a fence/gate, and a garden shed. Sean consistently checked in with me throughout the design process, and the quality of the materials and plants he used was exceptional.   Sean was a really impressive candidate – we were genuinely struck by his passion and skill in landscaping. He brought some fantastic, innovative ideas to the table and his enthusiasm for the project was really contagious.   Overall, my experience with Sean was incredibly disappointing. I hired him in April of 2019 with high hopes, really liking his initial creative ideas and the way he seemed to understand my vision for my landscaping and covered patio. I paid him $500 for plans, specifically outlining what plants I liked and disliked, and my desire to extend my existing patio. However, the plans he delivered weeks later completely missed the mark – he’d included bamboo around my entire property, despite me explicitly saying I didn’t want it, and he’d replaced my requested patio extension with his preferred fan structure. He dismissed my concerns, claiming the plants were just placeholders, and while I appreciate the offer to change them, it felt like a complete disregard for my original request. Then, almost two years later, in July 2021, still no landscape had materialized. Looking back, I realize I should have pushed harder for updated plans, but it’s frustrating to have been misled about his qualifications – he’d initially presented himself as an engineer and builder. The final straw was his no-show meeting in August 2021, followed by a confusing Zoom session where he essentially told me he didn’t do covered patios. It felt like a massive waste of money and time, especially considering he hadn't even bothered to update the plans based on the changes I’d requested. Honestly, it felt like he hadn’t truly listened to my needs and, ultimately, he wasn’t a professional I could rely on. report abuse
