  Overall, this was a fantastic experience working with this concrete company. They were incredibly professional and clearly very knowledgeable about all aspects of concrete construction, from smaller residential projects to larger commercial ones. I was particularly impressed with their foreman, Shamus – he was a really experienced and hardworking guy, and I’d definitely recommend asking for him when you need a job done quickly and with a high level of quality. report abuse

  “Honestly, we’re incredibly frustrated with this entire experience. We ended up with this concrete contractor through our pool company, and while the initial price was good, the execution was completely unprofessional. From the start, it was clear they weren’t committed to finishing the job. We specifically asked them to include a sidewalk as part of the deck – we’d been planning that since we moved in – and they initially agreed. But then, when they showed up early and the rain washed away our marked lines, they just brushed it off. Later, when they kept delaying the sidewalk and then tried to convince us to order an extra $2500 worth of concrete for it, it felt like they were trying to take advantage of us. One of their crew members even made a dismissive comment about it. It’s been a year, and they’ve completely stopped communicating with us. It's unbelievably disappointing – we just want the job finished as originally agreed upon.” report abuse

  “I was incredibly impressed with the work this company did – specifically, the guy who arrived in the black Mack pump truck. He’s clearly a highly skilled operator, even though he’s relatively new to the job. He went above and beyond, offering to assist with the flatwork while we were working under pressure to keep the concrete from setting too quickly. His finishing work was also outstanding. Honestly, this is the concrete pumping service I’d recommend without hesitation.” report abuse

  I had a really disappointing experience trying to get a quote from this company. They immediately told me the project was outside of their service area, despite their website stating they cover Kent County, including Kentwood. It felt like they weren't interested in my business simply because I’m located a bit further out in Sparta. Adding to that, the initial phone call was incredibly unprofessional. The person I spoke with just said "De Young" and didn’t offer any greeting, confirmation that it was a construction company, or ask how they could assist me. It was very confusing and made me question if I had the correct number. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend doing business with them – there are much better options available. report abuse

  “I was really impressed with Cannon’s Concrete! I needed some broken concrete for a retaining wall and spotted their crew working on a neighbor’s driveway. I asked if I could get a few wheelbarrows, and not only did they say yes, but they delivered it right to my house – two blocks away! They really went above and beyond, and I’d definitely recommend them.” report abuse

  “I tried to get a quote and unfortunately the person I spoke with seemed really uninterested and rushed. He didn’t answer my question about the cost and just abruptly said they were booked about two months out before hanging up. It seemed like a missed opportunity.” report abuse
