From start to finish, Chase and his team were incredibly professional – always on time, completed the work exactly as scheduled, and kept me fully informed every step of the way. The quality of their work was outstanding, and I really appreciated their attention to detail. What was truly remarkable was how perfectly their system performed during the recent SDGE power outage in Ramona. We were completely unaffected, and honestly, we didn’t even realize what was happening until we saw our neighbors were struggling with generators. It’s fantastic to know our investment worked exactly as promised, and Chase’s proactive texts letting us know everything was running smoothly were just incredible customer service.   “I couldn’t be happier with the solar installation Alltech did for me. I started looking for an installer back in August, and after researching online, I found Julian Solar Consulting on YouTube – Julian’s expertise really helped me understand my options. He then recommended Alltech to handle the actual installation, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The team was incredibly professional and friendly, and they communicated really well throughout the entire two-day process. Chase, the owner, even personally checked in to make sure everything was perfect. It was a truly seamless, turnkey project, and I felt completely confident in their work. They took care of all the paperwork and permits, and honestly, it’s rare to find a company so dedicated to quality – I wouldn't have questioned a thing.   I had a really frustrating experience with AllTech Solar. I hired them to install 20 solar panels on my La Mesa property, and from the very beginning, several of the panels were significantly underperforming compared to the others. I contacted the owner, Chase Carmody, and he assured me everything was fine, but shortly after, I contacted Enphase Energy, the company that makes the microinverters, and they confirmed that one of the arrays was indeed underproducing. Despite providing Enphase with documented evidence – emails and text messages – Chase continued to dismiss my concerns. He even insulted me, calling me an idiot and saying there’s no such thing as a “solar emergency.” Ultimately, it became clear that AllTech Solar stopped caring once they had my money. They refused to investigate the issue further, and Chase simply brushed aside my concerns. I strongly advise against using this company; it seems they’re only interested in taking your money and then cutting you off. report abuse

  Overall, our experience with Alltech was pretty frustrating. While the solar system itself seems to be functioning correctly and they stuck to the agreed-upon timeline, there were some serious issues with their communication and how they handled our property. We were really pleased with the placement of the solar panels, but incredibly disappointed with where they put the control panel – the plans were vague and it ended up in a really awkward location. They also handled the installation of the new electrical panel poorly, damaging a beautiful hibiscus plant and our sprinkler system. It felt like they weren’t respecting our property at all. Communication was a huge problem too; they blamed COVID for delays, which felt dismissive, and their solutions to the placement issues were just awkward. Honestly, we felt like they could have been more considerate and professional. We’d definitely recommend asking very detailed questions about the installation process, especially regarding the inverter. We'd rate it a 3/5 – the system works, but the experience left a lot to be desired.” report abuse

  “I was really impressed with my experience with Alltech Solar. I’d done some research myself before getting quotes, and honestly, the other companies I spoke with just weren’t providing the information I needed. One just suggested a subpanel and didn’t even assess my roof, and the second gave me a quote without looking at my electrical panel. Alltech was a completely different experience. Julian was fantastic – he patiently answered all my questions and really helped me understand the different options, like racking, panel types, and sizing the system for my current and future energy needs. When I ended up needing a new roof, they were able to advise me on saving money by delaying the subpanel and installing 13 panels on my existing panel, with plans to upgrade later. Plus, the price was lower than the other quotes! It was a bit frustrating that the project was delayed for four months due to high demand and the NEM deadline, and of course the rain, but once they got started, they were incredibly efficient – three days for the entire roof installation, plus a day for the solar panels and inspection. Everyone I worked with was great, and Julian was always responsive, replying to my texts within a day. The panels are working perfectly and producing the expected kilowatt-hours, and I wholeheartedly recommend Alltech!” report abuse

  “We were really pleased with Alltech – they were by far the best experience we had when getting solar panels for our home. We’d gotten several quotes, but Alltech stood out because they actually went out to our property to properly assess our roof and our needs. Unlike some of the other companies who seemed more focused on pushing products and couldn’t answer basic questions, Ken and Chase were incredibly knowledgeable and only presented bids that aligned perfectly with our energy usage. They were also fantastic to work with; Ken and Chase were always patient and happy to address all of our concerns, taking the time to explain everything clearly. The whole process, from the roof work to getting the necessary approvals, was handled smoothly and professionally.   “I’ve been generally pleased with Alltech’s work on my solar installation, but I’m really disappointed with how they’ve handled the follow-up. Specifically, the stucco damage they caused during the electrical panel installation has been a huge issue. Despite repeated requests to Ken to address it, it’s still unresolved almost a year later. He keeps saying they’re busy, but it’s frustrating to hear that someone isn’t coming to fix something that’s left my house looking unprofessional.” report abuse

  “Overall, we’re really pleased with our experience with Alltech Solar. We chose them after a great initial consultation with Cy, who was incredibly helpful and didn’t push anything – he patiently answered all our questions and clearly explained why their panels and components were a better fit for us. The installation itself went smoothly, taking just two days, and we started generating our own power quickly. We’ve already received our first bill, and surprisingly, we generated more electricity than we actually used! To top it off, Alltech was fantastic with the financing process, which took longer than anticipated, and they even quickly replaced a shrub damaged by the trimmers.   “I’ve been incredibly impressed with AllTech Solar – I’ve been a customer for seven years now, and they’ve consistently provided the best service I’ve encountered from any solar company I’ve dealt with in my decade of experience. It’s really frustrating to see some companies in the solar market popping up and disappearing quickly, leaving customers with no support. I’ve unfortunately experienced that firsthand with other companies in San Diego, who were unreliable and frankly, not very trustworthy. I’m so grateful I found AllTech Solar and especially worked with Chase Carmody. He’s been absolutely fantastic – honest, responsive, and always willing to go the extra mile, especially for veterans. The communication between Chase and me is outstanding; he proactively monitors my system and quickly addresses any concerns, like when he coordinates inverter replacements with Enphase and keeps me fully informed throughout the process.   “Chase did an amazing and incredibly thoughtful job for my neighbors. He went above and beyond by climbing onto their roof to install a chimney cover for them, and he refused to accept payment, insisting it was simply the right thing to do.
