Mark Miller and the team at Structural Solutions were absolutely fantastic to work with during our recent balcony and railing replacement project. Our building, a 99-unit complex of townhomes and a garden apartment building, couldn’t have asked for a better partner. From the initial bidding process right through to the final completion, Charlie Agelilli and his team were incredibly attentive and professional. They really went above and beyond, taking care of every detail, ensuring all vendors were billed correctly and on schedule – it was truly a pleasure working with them.

Charlie was an absolute lifesaver for us. We’d just finished building a 7-unit condo and were dealing with some serious flooding issues in the lower levels – it ended up being a nearly year-long project. Honestly, we were so lucky to have him overseeing everything, from the initial investigation all the way through the repairs. He was incredibly thorough, always prepared, and produced top-notch, professionally-written documents that were even suitable for legal use. He was just a really great guy to work with, and I’d absolutely recommend him to anyone needing a structural engineer.

Charlie and his team – Avi included – were fantastic to work with. They had a really deep understanding of the project, and their pricing was spot-on for the work delivered. Communication was consistently excellent, and I’m definitely keen to collaborate with them again on future projects. Honestly, they really “get it,” and they’re a team I’d highly recommend.

Overall, my experience with Structural Solutions was really disappointing. I hired them for a roof deck design, paying a $475 retainer, and they initially estimated completion within 2-3 weeks. However, just two weeks after paying the retainer, I wasn't hearing back from them and was eventually told that the engineer assigned to my project had left the company, and they weren’t sure when another engineer could take over. Frankly, it felt like they’d dropped the ball. When I requested a refund of my retainer, they refused, arguing that the engineer had already begun work – which, to be clear, hadn't resulted in anything usable for me. It felt unreasonable to be stuck with the cost of their staffing issues, and it wasn’t until I persistently followed up that they finally returned the original drawings I’d provided.
