  Adam’s service felt significantly overpriced and lacked transparency. He diagnosed the issue as a long-standing, rusted garbage disposal and then charged the customer $350 for a replacement – a cost that seems far higher than the actual part itself, which retails for around $150. He couldn't find any evidence to support the need for a full replacement, only troubleshooting steps for removing a caught rag. Adding to this, he didn't provide an itemized invoice, despite telling the customer he’d paid $350 for the disposal. Given the situation, the extended time spent (reportedly 7 hours based on his account, though clearly excessive) and the high-pressure approach, it’s clear there was a serious misjudgment of the costs involved. It’s concerning that he didn’t prioritize transparency and provide a detailed breakdown of charges, and frankly, the tactics used felt manipulative. report abuse
