I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with this company. They completely mishandled my HVAC issue and left me with a much bigger problem – and a huge bill. They replaced my fan, but accidentally activated the heating system during the summer, leaving us without air conditioning for three months and costing us nearly $3,000. After the warranty expired just four months later, they demanded an additional $12,000 to replace the entire system, and even threatened to put the old part back in if we refused. Frankly, it felt like they were deliberately trying to make the problem worse to avoid honoring their warranty. We simply asked for them to repair the original leaks they identified; it’s unusual for a 15-year-old building to have such a significant HVAC issue. It felt incredibly unfair and disrespectful, especially considering how they’ve supposedly handled other customers' cases. I strongly advise against doing business with this company – it’s clear they aren’t prioritizing their customers’ needs.

“I was so relieved when Damon Fish from Accutemp came out on the 5th – he arrived by 12:45pm after I called on the 4th. He quickly diagnosed and fixed the blown capacitor, getting my AC working again in just about an hour! He also spotted a smaller issue that he said he’d take care of next week. Honestly, I was a little skeptical given how many good reviews Accutemp has, but my experience with Damon was fantastic. Seriously, top-notch service!”

Overall, Accutemp Engineering has been a fantastic partner for Crossroads on the Charles. They’ve consistently provided top-notch service over the past twelve years, particularly with their preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and installation of our complex slat fin units. I’m really pleased with their work on our rooftop chiller and the distribution piping – they’ve handled it all very professionally. What’s been particularly impressive is their dedication to resolving our ongoing issues with the dual temperature system. They put in a significant amount of time researching the building plans and balancing the water distribution, and we’re now seeing a huge improvement and unit owners are relieved that maintenance visits are no longer frequent. I’ve confidently recommended Accutemp to other properties and management companies, and I’ve always received excellent feedback, so I highly recommend them.

“We couldn’t be happier with Accutemp, especially Matt, who handled our new HVAC installation. From the very beginning, Matt was incredibly responsive and clear about everything, making the whole process so much easier. We’ve already told several friends and neighbors about our experience – they’re fantastic! Our project was a particularly tricky one; we bought a historic house in Newton built in the 1800s, and it didn’t have air conditioning. We got quotes from a lot of companies, and Matt’s was by far the best, especially because he was the only one who recommended and installed a sixth indoor unit – a decision that’s proven absolutely essential, particularly with those hot days we've been having! To make things even more impressive, Matt stepped in when our electrician unexpectedly changed the initial plan, quickly working with him and us to come up with a revised solution that we were thrilled with. He even took the time to review our old boiler and gave us some great advice about potential repairs or replacements – we ended up not replacing it, but we feel much more confident about what to do in the future thanks to his expertise.”
